I love my Sylvari Guardian. Some of the armor actually looks great on them I think (especially the Gladiator armor, dyed to look leafy).

I cannot stand playing as Charr. The run animation feels so slow and awkward, even if it actually is the same speed as other races. Partially an illusion because of character size I suppose. But every time I roll a Charr I delete them after an hour or two. Too bad, because I like some of the snarky Charr NPCs.

If I were to roll another Guardian, it’d be Norn. I like them better than Humans, for both looks and culture.

Asura amuse me but I’m not sure I want to play as one. I’d rather play as a Skritt or Quaggan.

Norn guardian.

The blue norn on the race selection made me blind to the fact there were other 4 races.

Asura..because there nothing more terrifying than a charging gremlin with sharp or blunt object

I went big norn male and kind of regretting it, all of the combat actions just seem awkward, single arm swords swings look like they completely off balance me, I just feel big and oafish instead of a big trained killer.

I went sylvari because I love the racial armor and hated most heavy female armor. One of the tints on your armor has luminescence just like sylvari skin glows (btw turn off lighting when making a sylvari so you can adjust that properly to fit your color palette).

I re-rolled. Couldn’t stand my Sylvari Guardian.

O.k. So I made a lv 2 Asuran Guardian for PVP. not only has my survivabtility trippled and i do amazing backflips/sideflips/frontflips in heavy armor.

But, when i use Empower with a staff. I pole dance.

I’m officially a male stripper asuran guardian.

I deleted my charr guardian and am re-rolling it as a asuran.

No race really support guardian to be honest. But the back story fit well with the Norn because they protect spirit and guardian protect stuff.

Whaaaat! I went sylvari and I’m loving every moment of it! Coolest looking race imho!

Charr get a battle roar racial at low lvls that buffs crit and might aswell.

I think the mine that cripples + bleeds is Charr racial aswell.

i like my human elite racial for my guardian, makes it harder for my enemies to run away

I made a Norn just because, as another poster said, I love the snowy areas when leveling, plus I wanted to be BIG. I wanted to play defensively and make people attack me rather than my teammates in wvwvw. I was also surprised when I found some of the elite abilities, like the snow leopard. Yes, you can turn invisible for a short period of time, but during those 30 seconds of snow leopard form, just use the 5 ability and you have the fastest moving character in the game! And you can use it two times in that timefram

My guardian is a sylvari.

Mainly, because I created it for my girlfriend. She decided of everything for this character. So, I’m playing a blue female sylavie with a flash pink glow.

The soundbites with boons are pretty okay. I mostly hear “Armored up!”, and “Come on, hit me!” which are better than “Feedback-loop initiated.”
It’s just his attitude. He’s trying to hard to be a good boy and protect queen and country, despite the fact that the queen has a million guards.
Questgivers (in the personal story) are like: “Hey, we need someone who can do this outrageously difficult and life-threatening thing.” And then my characters goes: “Oh, no problem. I’ll do it.”
It’s like he wants to die a senseless death. At least ask what the reward will be.

I thought about asura but they’re too smug. I wanted innocuous adorableness followed by surprise smashing.

I chose Asuran, I was having doubts about her until I went into WvW with hammered. No better feeling than a tiny Asuran Hammer #4ing a Norn or Charr off the side of a cliff.

WoW: Gnome, dwarf and goblin

I just like the idea of the underdog. And what better underdog than a tiny tiny character. I also don’t give a rat’s lower back about racial skills, they’re just a bonus.

Currently, all my classes are Asura ( except my thief, who is human, as I couldn’t stand the animations on asura for heartseeker )

So yeah … just aesthetics

I picked Female Norn. Because I have 5 Humans and 1 Asura.

If I could change it, I think I would take either Charr Male or Human Female.

Charr because of the Battle Cry, which gives you Fury, something that Guardian really lacks.

Human female because, Boobs. That’s why.
