Guardians and the new boon and control effect
We could use slow and ressistance. Taunt is for shield yes. Buuuuut we are in a good spot so don’t expect to get some love for new stuff.
I think taunt is not fit to guardian and slow is a big maybe but resistance is totaly in lore

Why do you think that? The very idea for the guardian is to have enemies go through you before they meet your allies. You pretty much are the tank in that sense, even though there are no roles like that in the game, not fully.
You save your allies from threat by having them immobilized through ground control or to make them attack you. A taunt would fit perfectly.

Why does everyone seem to think taunt should be put on guardian shield?
-Shield already has a control skill
-The animation of shield 4 lends itself more to a daze/knockback.
-Doesn’t make too much sense, you blast someone in the face with a wave of light, and now they just uncontrollably want to run at you?
IMO taunt would make more sense on a spirit weapon, or perhaps a signet.
Froma a old discussion, The trait that actually make the hammer give Chill will inflict Slow to the enemy instead.

also we had slow on hammer, people QQ we need to keep it w/ chill, and that was the 1 time a dev listened, so we lost out on slow.
resistance isn’t suppose to be accessible everywhere, and since we don’t see it yet or w/ dragonhunter we’ve seen so far, i wouldn’t count on it. its on rev tho
taunt, well i just don’t think it’ll happen.

Yea they listened and moved it from good spot in valor into stupid spot in virtues. Now noone use it because condi removal is way better than this.

100% agreement that most trait options (choosing from 1,2,3 in a tier) is pretty terrible. at least where they have the different “choices”.
i’’m all for forcing a choice between traits, but i think overall our traits could be arranged better
You know looking at at all the insane condition damage going around I think they should give every class varying degrees of access to the resistance boon.
And yes it would make sense to have it on the shield.
As for taunt yes it would also make sense to have it on the shield.
Frankly I think they should add taunt to the shield number 4 & resistance to the number 5.
It would also be nice if they got rid of the bubble on number 5 and instead had it do a knock back & apply aegis + resistance to nearby allies.
These effects could be applied in one of guardian useless/weak skills like: Signet of Mercy, Sanctuary, Hallowed Ground and Merciful Intervation and Spirt Weapons, but on these skills (except for Signet of Mercy that needs a cast time reduction) a cooldown reduction would be enough.
Chill → Resistance.
AH / Shout Guards will be clutch. Everytime you see chill, you convert it and /laugh at all the condi’s stack up but do no damage.

you cant pick which condition to convert so shout guards are dead as soon as they get condi bombed
