Guardians have always been viable. They just aren’t optimal.

What would you replace a guard w in a raid squad?

We MIGHT be viable but in the light of every other profession (especially revenant) we are redundant.

Pls learn like a lot of people in the forums take a dictionnary and look up definition.

Guardian are viable by all definition of the word. Language don’t need every other person to change word to what they prefer.

Guardian doesn’t bring anything better than other profession in raid, leaving them unwanted in raid. But that,s not the same thing as not viable.

I could try open heart surgery, but with no medical training it’s not very optimal.

That’s a terrible comparison. As long as you succeed in the “open heart surgery” and the person is fine after, it doesn’t matter if everything was optimal. What matters is succeeding

Guardian post & pre-patch is/was viable

When it takes more than an hour to find a pug as a guardian, it’s not viable.

Umm, that is a really stupid comparison. You can complete the Raid with a Guardian replacing another profession. You can complete the raid with 2 Guardians replacing 2 other professions and so on. This makes them viable. Very different from optimal.

I wish people would understand the meaning of words. This is becoming actually depressing. English isn’t even my first language and it bug me.

Definition of viable : capable of working successfully; feasible.

Word have meaning just kitten use the good word. Viable is not the same thing than good, best, ideal or optimal.

Every single class is viable. Though there are better options than bringing a guardian. The only reason I see to bring one is that if your DPS is good but you need a bit more survive-ability. In that a guardian will be very helpful
