Guardians' scepter is boring.
Really, i actually love it, the range on it and slowness of the orbs, means you can fire like 5 before you even aggroed the enemy, follow by immobilizing it then getting the aoe on the target makes it one of my favourite and most damaging ranged weapons.
Its not so good in group events, when everything gets rushed down, but for solo play i think its fantastic.

Yeah, the Scepter is pretty boring, despite being effective.
If I were to change it, I’d make the first skill a projectile and the second skill a Symbol or other combo field. I think that would go a long way in improving it.

Don’t take it personal. It’s just that I don’t want to see a “Shield is terrible” or “Hammer is slow” or “we suck at WvWvW” thread every 10 days. We’re already rehashing things a bit.

if the Auto attack had some form of chain to it to maybe it wouldn’t be as boring. Maybe cranking the base dmg by just a few points will also add to the viability to it since without spamming Smite like a maniac it doesn’t do enough dmg to be actually damaging when getting hit by it.
I’d love to see a pistol&shield combo on a Guardian, or a rifle. Or a bow, crossbow, boomerang. Or a Charrzooka! Heck, even a holy water shooting water pistol would be cooler than the Guardian’s current lame weapons. Anything that’s not some staff or wand. Make it happen!
Give us something cool because the Guardian is just no fun at all in WvW as the only class in this game with unfun, ineffective ranged weapons!
