I am a guardian and I do not condone it but I have been INCREASINGLY seeing guards using the svanir/stun break/ swap elite skill and i have to say it’s sad. Anet need to look into fixing this fast. I find it funny that even after using invul/book heal they still cannot take the point… anyways Anet please look into this issue as we all know it is a growing one amonst guards. I report those i see doing it but that is not enough. Should hotfix it b/c a lot of paid tourney people say and do anything to win. Exploits and all.. Sad day to.

and also ask with shield of protection (is that the right name?) and wall of reflection doesn’t stop me getting wasted by arrow carts

Have they said it’s an exploit yet? I think it’s clearly taking advantage of mechanics, but at the same time everything involved seems to actually be doing what it’s supposed to be doing. To fix it they will have to either change some skills, or change runes.

Runes of svanir just need to be fixed so you can’t contest points while invulnerable, like with pretty much every other invulnerability in the game. Other than that I’m pretty sure this is working as intended.

Well the issue with those is that they don’t protect against AOE.

And if Sanctuary does (I forgot) it doesn’t protect against AOE that’s currently happening.

Any class can “exploit” the rune of svanir, Guardian just have an extra 3sec with the elite (and 5sec coupled to the trait).

I personnaly don’t use this glitch because it’s losing too much just for feeling as superman. But it’s indeed fun to don’t die so easy against a zerg

Also keep in mind after the 8sec of invincibility, the guardian have cooldown set on the elite + a stun break skill and probably all the virtues. We fall in weak position after this.
