So I’ve been running 15/15/0/20/20 Hammer+GS symbol dps and really enjoying it, but I’m finding that the extra 10 points in Virtues for Abs Res isn’t really necessary, since I get enough condi clear with Purging Flames on a fairly short cooldown, and the GS spin moves for a little extra when needed.

Would y’all recommend 25/15 or 15/25 for more dps? Radiant Power is better than Symbolic Power since it boosts everything instead of just symbols, but I don’t see any useful majors in Radiance to beat Zealous Blade.

Is this PvE? I assume it is because with the amount of conditions thrown left and right these days you can never have enough condi cleanse.

This is for dungeons/fractals. Full zerk/scholar, etc.

Radiant is your best bet. 10% on everything means 10% on your symbols too.

That’s true, but Zealous Blade is a good boost for when I swap to GS (5% more damage on WW, yes please), and some nice extra healing. I can’t see a single useful Master trait in Radiance…

Even with that trait you will have lower effective power. I use radiant fire and swap it out for powerful blades for hard bosses like mossman and archdiviner where I use sword/focus on swap for more blocks. The trait selection is underwhelming but radiant power makes it worth it.

I don’t understand. You’d take 5% more on Greatswords alone over 10% on Greatswords and everything else?

10% more damage on WW, yes please. This is one of those cases where a Minor trait is completely overwhelmingly the superior option over Majors. It also allows you to inject flexibility into your build – what if you don’t want to run a Greatsword for a particular fight? You don’t lose your edge. So to speak.
