Hi,

I was wondering what is meant by the hammer auto-attacks 3rd swing.

If it says Damage x4 (1704), does that mean I’ll hit 1704 4 times?

No it means it’ll do 1704 damage over 4 hits.

And the tooltip is also wrong. The stat you are asking about only hit three times untraited, its the symbol damage.

When it comes to tooltips Arenanet hasnt done a great job, both number of hits, damage per hit and animation times are wrong in a number of cases.
