I’ve been experimenting qtfy builds for Raids which recommend Honor 232, but am seeing a slight 1k – 2k DPS gain with Virtues 131 instead.

Unscathed contender gives 20% under aegis, glacial heart adds chill, and permeating adds burn to adds. The only real DPS loss versus Honor is the loss of 2s of symbol. Would welcome any thoughts or other experiences – but loving the DPS Hammer build now.

It’s widely known that virtues can in theory do more dps based on boons, unscathed and the free damage proc from the hammer trait. How ever unscathed works better with other weapons and is generally hard to maintain for prolonged periods. And half the reason for a hammer guard build is for the permanent protection and healing which is tied mostly to honor.

In dungeons UC is the way to go. In fractals sometimes, rly depends on the fight and how quickly you can burst it. In raids the same thing, I only rly use it on gorseval (and sometimes KC if we have more than 1 guard). Other fights either have way too many adds or the floor aura gets rid of aegis.
