Guild Wars 2

I have been running 0/0/30/30/10 with Mace/Shield – Staff and liking it for dungeon runs. Using shouts and traits as follows:
Purity/Honorable Shield/Altruistic Healing
Superior Aria/Writ of Persistence/Battle Presence
Vengeful

Basically dps is not much especially since running full cleric gear minus helmet swapped for shaman.
My HP is low but I survive well in group situations and can solo pretty well although slow.

Basically was really looking to see if anyone runs 0/0/30/20/20 as group support with mace/shield – Hammer.

As health is already low and healing power takes a significant hit, does extra protection up time and Absolute Resolution negate what I’m losing? I’d probably switch out for Writ of Exaltation to hit more of the group/keep more enemies in the symbol.
Has anyone played both? The weapon switching seems pretty involved even just on the target dummy.
I use Sigil of Water/Crest of Shaman – Life now, would life make a good transfer over to the hammer as well?
I see more personal survivability and damage with the change, but how much might battle presence at ~1670 healing effect the group versus the extra protection?
Any ideas are appreciated. Heck even open to the idea of keeping the staff I guess and changing spec just for the boon duration/Absolute resolution.

You will be suprised how much difference the protection boon does.
Constant -33% Damage reduction is amazing and is better than any heal could ever be.
Crithammer build with shouts, Altruistic Healing,Writ of the Merciful and you will be able to still maintain good dps while having high survivability and supporting your group all in one.

Healing power is only good for the dodge rolls since it scales 1:1 but it’s horrible for any other healing spell.

Crithammer/Shouts/Altruistic Healing is boss. Everything except for our dodge heal scales so horribly with healing power, it’s probably best to try power/precision/toughness mixed with some power/precision/vitality/critdamage to taste. You can easily maintain 8-12 might stacks, you’re really tanky, you still get decent crit damage numbers, and you provide a lot of group support. IMO, it’s win/win.

Protection is so good.

As a warrior, I welcome any hammer Guardians in my group because of the perma-protection.

In fact, with my mace, we can turn our enemies into nothing.
