So, I like hammer (and many other things, but that in different topics and forums…). With traits for bigger and longer symbols it’s just sooo much fun O.o But I’m still pretty fresh on guardian (~100h played since I made it my main), and I’m not sure if I should get used to it, or just run with GS.
I know hammer works in WvW raiding/zerging, but what abot rest? I guess it shouldn’t be weaker than GS to solo camps. No idea about small scale fights.
And what about PvE? I heard it’s problem that it overwrties fire fields… fun thing is, according to guildies research, fire fields overwrite ALL fields, no matter which one is older (or it changed since his tests?).
I’m looking for a weapon I could take everywhere with me, possibly make it my 3rd legendary – choice between GS and hammer.
And plz, no “it’s slow” :p I’m interested in real effects and numbers, not “feelings”

Hammer is amazing, I’ve been using it from beginning on my Guard and still use it to this day. GS is amazing in group play for perma protection and retaliation. The damage from symbols is also surprisingly good and even better if traited to apply vulnerability.
