I have a couple questions.

First i know that gear and weapons do not mean crap at first, but what is a good main hand and off hand weapon/weapons to get used to in the form of rotations?

Is the Guardian wanted in groups and dungeons?

Is the Guardian viable in PVP? i went in at level 10 and got insta blown up every time. Is that just because of my level and i suck?

Guardian is wanted everywhere. Weapons depends, I personally hate greatsword and really enjoy sword focus. Sword has highest dps auto attack in game I think. Has a blind, nice single target dps skill, regen, and a nice block that can deal good aoe damage.

You should use a shield. Dungeon groups will love you

Don’t troll the noob. Shields are useful in a couple of very specific places but for the most part they are our worst weapon option… probably why they are our class symbol ((sigh)).

Sword/Focus is incredibly violent for PvP, Greatsword is amazing in multi-target fights. Staff is called ‘the lootstick’ for good reason – in zergs is the perfect blend of tap everything for loot and good utility effects. Hammer is ferocious with practice.

When Devs say Guards are “in a good place” its actually for a reason. It will take you a long while to explore all that Guardians do and do well.

Guardian is a good profession in every game mode.

In wvw they are the backbone of any zerg or havock (3-10 players) group.

In pve they provide nice party buffs and bring decent DPS and some most wanted utility like Reflect, Blind and Aegis.

In pvp they are very good group supporters with shouts also they have decent “turtle” builds. The burn guardian considered “cheese” (easy cheater mode) but it is effective. The meditation guardian can dish out some devastating damage in the matter of seconds and they can offer some minimal but important group support via virtues.

You have to be on your toes however…. Guardian has the lowest HP pool in the game (with elementalist) but has loads of active defence with blind/block/aegis.
