Help me decide, Guardian or Warrior
For PvE choose the one you feel more confortable… looks like you prefer the Guardian so go with it.
I always liked offensive support classes, thats why my first char was a Guardian… but my main focus on the game is WvW roaming.. and it is hard to be Guardian roamer… so now on WvW I prefer the Necro leaving the Guardian for dungeons and sometimes when I run with my guild in larger groups in WvW.

About survivability both Warrior and Guardian are pretty good depending on the build, I am still leveling my Warrior (55 now), so I am no specialist… but as far as I can see you can be quite tanky as a Warrior and still do a good damage, this is more complicated on Guardians. In the end playstyle will decide…

I think mesmer is the only class with more surviability than guardians, PvE wise, and all you need to do in order to get said surviability as a guardian is put five points into honor. Warrior is stronger soloing stuff because they have an easier time with self buffing (think banners, frenzy, FGJ, might on GS critical, etc). IMO go with warrior if you want to support your group with raw status from banners, but if you want to put support thru fields, boons (think protection, stability, regen and aegis) and projectiles defenses, go guardian.
End game warrior has no problems. They can do PVE, WvW solo roam, WvW zerg, and other things you want to dominate at. Guardians can do all those, but are lacking in some departments. If I had to recommend to my friend which class, I’d say definitely go warrior.
I however am a professional guardian, and that’s what I do

Thanks guys for all the answers! Keep’em coming! Need more inspiriation
Warrior
It has more roles available to it.
Anet lied (where’s the Manifesto now?)

With how A-net is balancing the game, just get into warrior for the reason above. The only reason to continue with guardian is because you can’t transfer all your gear to a new character and you have been playing since the start and have to many dyes and ascended items.
try both….and play whichever you find more fun.
if they feel about the same to you, GO WARRIOR.
warriors are better at just about everything….in all facets of this game.
compared to all classes, they are at least top3 in any tole…in any facet…of this game.
this will not change anytime soon……since the balance process in this game is terrible….slow…and often illogical.
there are other classes in way worse shape than guardian…but warrior is so OP its ridiculous.

As a player which started with a Warrior, did level Him to 80, then did level a Guardian to 80, made Him my main character, then leveled a Ranger and a Thief and then rise another Warrior (all of them to 80), I must say: at the current state, Warrior.
You will not find problems to complete the whole map and dungeons in PvE with both Guardians or Warriors, except due inexperience. Both can faceroll almost any PvE content without help, and are capable to be the tankiest guys in dungeons. Warriors can do more damage without big sacrifices in their survability, whereas Guardians are better in support roles (aegis, damage reduction, AoE stability, Wall of Reflection, Tome of Courage…), but as I said no problem at all in PvE.
Instead, in WvW, despite both are great, the Warrior currently has an edge over the Guardian. Both are crucial in guild raids, the backbone of any army.
But when comes to roaming or dueling Warriors are better: they have more viable builds available (burst damage, full condition, perma-stun), they have more weapons and a large array of builds, and they can have 25% enhanced movement or perma-swiftness at no oportunity cost. And they can run in full berserker gear retaining a 18-19k health pool, or tank for more than 27k HP while still retaining strong condition damage or having the strongest crowd control tools in the game. They have awesome gap closers, very spammable (and can be traited to break out inmobilitations).
Guardians, instead, are slow, which means that either you spent a fortune in Traveler runes or will be exposed to be poked to death. Sure you can waste weapon selection and utilities trying to get that pace from swiftness skills, but no one will be near to the mobility available to Warriors. Using those runes will mean to discard Soldier or Mekandru, which means being ore vulnerable against conditions. You also will have less weapons viable to do the task: greatsword, sword, focus and scepter. I love the Guardian hammer, but if you need to keep the pressure against a Mesmer or Thief you will need weapons with gap closers, so that loadout probably will not work very well.
A bit the same happens in sPvP; as a Guardian you are almost forced to play bunker builds; as a Warrior you can be either a good bunker or a good dpser with excellent mobility.
I still use my Guardian for dungeons and WvW raids, but when comes to roaming and soloing now I swap to my Warriors: a lot more options available, and just more fun.

Listen to this poster… will make you much happier… coming from a guardian with 5 ascended pieces and I have the mats to make a ascended weapon. My Full exotic armor warrior is better at everything…… now I have to decide to re farm my ascended gear and make a weapon for my warrior or go all in on my guardian hoping the devs finally play the class and read the boards to see how to actually fix the class.
Make a Warrior. Even the most dedicated Guardian players are leaving to make Warriors or simply play another Game and as of yet Anet hasn’t clocked onto how displeased the entire community of Guardians is with what they keep doing to our class. All we’ve got on our side is the Support/healing stereotype and tbh if you play anything else you might as well make another class. However I just watched a shout Warrior coming pretty close to the amount of healing and condition removal I could do so it’s only a matter of time really.
All I feel I am now is a walking stability Vendor.

Are you doing massive group activities where to want to tag lots of enemies?
a. Yes – Guardian
b. No – Warrior
Warrior because better than guardian on any aspect and not pigeon holed in a specific build.
At least in the current state of the game.
