Help with Engineers needed.
Er… what exactly is those engies throwing at you? Your build seems ok to deal with conditions and it has gap closer / imobilizing potential…
More HP. Unless you can insta-burst an engi down, that low HP will get you killed fast vs any condi burst.

Try sigils of generosity instead of air against engineers
Are you losing to bomb kit style engies that rely on putting crap on the floor hoping you run over it? If so, you need to choose the battle location. Areas where you have wide movement will be greatly beneficial, since you won’t be bottlenecked. I find engineers in PvP more annoying since bunkering on a point means you have a very small area to run around in.

Dealing with condi engineers is knowing what they are going to throw at you. A majority of them are perplexity OR 100% condi duration. Figuring out which they are is important. Also pushing burst on them between defensive cooldowns (elixir s, toolkit shield, shield off-hand, traitline elixir s) is important. Another important thing is knowing which grenades to dodge. Frost grenades, poison grenades, then bleed grenades in that order. If you got enough time to see them flying u might be able to identify them. Frost grenades are white, poison have a green/black trail, and the bleed grenades have deep red.
As for your own defenses use shelter and renewed focus aggressively to prevent condi burst application. Use contemplation of purity as a last resort if you get all the condis on ya. Good luck out there, they are rough. Ohh and change your food from the precision/crit damage to condi reduction. The 40% duration reduction is a HUGE difference, and so is the 36% on the cheaper food.
Thanks for the advice.
Considering swapping out a weapon or 2 for valks.
Do on crit sigils like generosity work on main hand attacks if I put them in the offhand?
I really like the burst from air.
Yup – sigils apply their effect across both hands
though to note, unless if sth changed recently, and assuming you meant to keep air on your MH and then add generosity to your OH… all sigils share the same cooldown. including on-swap as well as on-crit. in the case of MH and OH sigils, the MH one will trigger before the one in the OH.
so in your example, if you had air on MH and generosity in OH..
1) Crit —> checks air --> air procs on MH —> both air and gen will go on CD for 5s (air CD) before either can be activated again
2) Crit —> checks air —> Air doesn’t proc --> checks gen —> gen procs --> both air and gen will go on CD for 10s (gen CD)
3) Crit —> checks air —> Air doesn’t proc --> checks gen —> gen doesn’t proc --> no CD and will repeat process on next crit
…is how i think it works.
etc etc.

I totally forgot about that.
Thanks.
Sustained ranged damage (Zerk scepter) and good condition removal (Medis, PoV+Soldier, Gen sigil, etc).
Best advice I can give if is, if the engi doesn’t have Elixir Gun (Spammable weakness + Bleed at range), do NOT let them stay in melee range of you.
Yeah, as someone who’s been having more fun with their engie lately, you DO NOT want to be a guard in melee/bomb range of me for too long because I will bomb and tool kit you down pretty fast. If I’m rocket booting to close the gap, then you know I’m not going to hit you with grenades, which is a plus, but I’ve been running with the elixir gun in that slot lately too for those that go to put the distance bewtween me and them. Engies running perp runes are jerks.
