Help with wvw weapon selection ( Rookie )
Tbh the weapons you like using in PvE are probably going to be your best bet in WvW. For zergs and such though, a hammer is always a fine choice because you have a blast finisher on a very low cooldown.
Iconoklast – Guardian / Icono Clone – Mesmer
Tiny Icono – Engineer / The Icono – Elementalist
SoS – Empyrean Knights [EK] YB – The Coasters [TC]

Depends on what you are trying to do in www. Here are some examples.
Support:
Staff, mace/shield, hammer, scepter/shield
Burst:
Mace/torch, Sceptre/Focus, Sword/torch, Greatsword, Hammer
AH:
Greatsword, Staff, Hammer, Mace

Then just take Hammer or Greatsword
