Here is my Guardian Dungeon Build
First, it’s a broken record, but Dungeons = Zerk gear. Everything else is simply a crutch while you learn. Investing in Sentinels would be a pity as you’ll eventually outgrow it as you learn the extra damage is very useful and don’t need that extra tankiness.
This is coming from someone who made full ascended soldier gear Eventually you won’t need it (well I still use it on some world bosses and WvW so, it’s not pointless but not for dungeons). You may not think it but eventually you will learn to survive easily without all that tankiness.
Aside from that you’re still looking at healing power a lot. Healing can be nice, but in most cases the coefficient of the healing power is pretty /meh at best. The exception IIRC is pretty much dodge rolling for heals and when you consider that it can nullify 20k hits if you time it right… you’ll never get your full worth out of the heal by wasting the dodge for that rather than avoidance.
As for weapons, again you’ll find everything has it’s place, no reason to stick to one option. I use them all except shield, haven’t really found anything i really like that for.
Lastly, If you want to play the archetype of Big beefy meat shield that defines say a Paladin from other games, go ahead, I’m just trying to give some friendly advice so you don’t waste money like I did If you feel the need to go tanky I’d stick to Soldier PVT gear exotics, work your way towards going a bit more glassy, you’ll save a lot of money and effort. Either way, Good Luck
If you keep that build in dungeon, you’ll most of the times be kicked.
take note of this.
You can of course play the way you want and find a party that likes your style but never, EVER do this build with ascendent gear.
The reason is that healing power coefficient are small and a 5% increase isn’t so effective.
Total heal = (level*lvlratio) + (Healing Power*HPratio)

It would be a great build, if the return on healing power was worth it in dungeons. PvE in gw2 is dps for dps, dps for support and dps for survivability. That’s just how this game was built.
That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy how you play with friends who also appreciate it. I would however, avoid any LFG that consists of speed runs, zerker or other “meta” runs. This build could hold a pug group off the floor, or it could kitten the run’s dps.
A couple suggestions I could give would be to swap out scepter/torch for hammer. The protection it offers is greater than the possible conditions removed. Possibly swap purging flames in when you need the extra condi removal. Maybe try and work Writ of Persistence in when using hammer for extra dps, the two extra heal procs on symbol will cover the loss of battle presence. Strength in Numbers is a nice toughness boost too.
Good luck. And remember, join groups where you might be welcomed not any sort of speed run.
If you wanna use healing power in dungeons, I suggest running full Zealot’s gear (perhaps mix in some berserker gear), and traiting offensively. Probably use a staff as one weapon since it’s the only weapon that scales decently with healing power, and Healing Breeze should probably be used for the same reason. Your other weapon should be a high DPS weapon like a scepter or greatsword.
If you keep that build in dungeon, you’ll most of the times be kicked.
I can guarantee that’ll only happen if he joins a party that specifically requests zerker gear or states that it’s a speed run, and even then they might not notice or care enough about the damage difference to kick him (assuming he’s using Zealot’s).
