How Does Guardian Beat New Necro?
I’d have to go with dodging and running condition removal, much like before.
-40% condition duration food (unless you’re talking sPvP?)

As a necro myself, I would say by running Stability, just like before. Our main answer to that, Corrupt Boon, is no longer guaranteed to strip off Stability, especially since Guardians very frequently have 6+ boons on them.

Lulz… no.
how did you beat condi-engineers before?
Seems like every Guardian I run into in WvW has at least 6 boons on from either Save Yourselves, a Contemplation of Purity, or just the large number they get from weapons and traits. Stand Your Ground still completely neuters the Fear and other condition cleanses are still just as effective.
Corrupt Boon got hit to only take out 5 boons, so Stability is stronger than it was as there is no longer any assured way of removing it. Since most of the necro’s new power was in the form of more and longer fears, Guardians really don’t have to alter their builds to take on the new necro. They just have to look out for the 1 second immobilize when Tainted Shackle’s tether ends.
Play a 2h critical guardian and your problem is solved.
Only thing that matters is damage, kill the target before it kills you, simple as that.
I’ve played before a large amount of defensive and hibryd Guardian build, but try it Berserker whit meditation and you can kill necro and mesmer as well.
When my friend say “try the berserker build of Guardian” I’ve laugh, but try it, it’s very good!
Basically just have a lot of condition removal, stability, and pressure and they’ll cave.
I usually carry smite condition / contemp of purity and Absolute Resolution. Sometimes I’m even running lyssa runes, so it makes things a bit easier. If you have contemplation of purity, try baiting the corrupt boon and use it after, it’s a godsend with focused mind + monk’s focus. Also, try to stagger your condi removal, don’t just blow it all at once. If you have 8+ stacks of bleed, that’s a good time to cleanse.
Other than that, focus them hard and keep pressure on them. If it’s a group battle, I like to call target on them first, as they are incredibly dangerous if left alone. I find scepter works pretty well as you can immob them and dance around a bit, they’ll have a hard time targetting you. After you make them blow dodges, it’s just like any other class. Bait them into standing toe to toe with you in melee range, as with almost every other class this won’t end well for them unless they have wells, which you can just dodge out of, or pull them out of.
