Condition/burning, is my favorite build.

Was just wondering

It might help to specify which game mode or type of content you’re asking about, so people can give you more relevant answers. Burn Guardian is still used in all game modes, as far as I’m aware, but its popularity and the tools it brings are going to vary depending on what exactly you’re aiming to do with it.

I use it for PvE/soloing at the moment. Using Rabid right now, and going for Sinister/Viper in the future.

The damage is pretty crazy so far and it just feels right. I use Scepter/Torch with Greatsword.

Also um. Is 85% burn duration too much? I have Balth Runes, and a Smoldering Sigil

I’m actually wondering this about pvp. Are burn guards still a thing?

Burn guards are definitely still a thing in pvp. I’d be more interested in finding out if someone’s tried to run a burn guard in the raid?

There’s only one build I’ve tried using on metabattle. I’m brand new to condi of any kind. Any idea where I might find other builds/resources?

Yeah Burn Guards are still good. In fact, a lot of the old meta builds are still very viable including D/D Ele, Axe/Shield+GS Warrior, Celestial Rifle Engi, Celestial Signet Necro, etc, etc. It’s just that everybody’s playing the new hotness right now which are the elite specs so you’re not seeing the old builds very often.

I would say Burn Guards are the 2nd best damaging build Guardians have to offer. The first would be DH, mainly because of its lower risk attributes, better AoE damages, and the utilities Dh can bring.

I have a burn build that’s viable and fun to use in PvP while also having another DH power build that’s more viable and just as fun. This is coming from burn guardian since summer of 2014 I think.. idk

I’m ecstatic where Guardian is right now!
