I’m so used to the necromancers insane ability to remove condi’s. The guardian only has about 4-5 methods to remove their own conditions, all of them on long cool down or only remove 1 condition every 10 seconds, which doesn’t help in WvW.

So, how do YOU deal with it?

4 in virtues and take absolute resolution.
This trait will aoe cleanse 3 condi’s and make your virtue of resolve passive stronger, its a trait i cant live without anymore.
And when its on cd you can pop renewed focus and use it again.
Purity trait will cleanse 1 condi every 10s wich is also pretty nice.

I also use contemplation of purity combined with save yourself, so the basic idea is to use SyS to pull condi from your mates and then contemplation of purity to convert all those condi into boons.

This is for Tpvp and i also use this setup for roaming.

Yea absolute resolution is a must have for me on any guard build, kinda annoys me actually cause when I don’t have it I keep poping the virtue and being like “WHY DO I STILL HAVE CONDIS……oh….kitten”

Smite condition can be pretty powerful also as it will always take off damaging condis before impairing ones. Plus focus 4 will clear 1 condi per bounce, so if you shot gun it into people like you would Reapers touch on necro, it will clear 4 condis.

By killing them with my conditions first….

That and mostly through straight damage avoidance after putting condi burst on them, blinds from GS/Sword/VoJ, blocks from VoC/shelter, destroying condition projectiles through ZD, and just straight removal through smite condition and contemplation of purity.

The big thing is just knowing when to use your condi cleanse, and knowing what to expect from certain classes, such as if you get glue bombed by an engi, expect other condi bombs/condi grenades, Don’t panic from signet of spite on a necro, as it more hampers you than damages you, if you have the health just let it wear off a bit and go from there.

If you are running a zerg in WvW though, just stack duration reduction and let your natural self sustain abilities take care of the rest.

Honestly… you can’t, which is why the meta condi pvp is so good atm.

People will mention Pure of Voice, and Absolute, and troopers and purity

But those cooldowns are <<< to the cooldown of condi re-applications.

WvW is managable because you have nearby players to assist, you kind of just play bunker for zerging and medi for solo

^ This. I used to knee-jerk cleanse any damaging conditions as soon as they appeared. I’d cleanse 3 stacks of bleed, only to have 6 more put on immediately. If I’d thought for a moment about what was happening and the enemy, I’d have known to wait until the bleeds were all dumped, then mass cleanse.

Sometimes the poorly timed cleanse is more deadly than no cleanse at all.

4 points in Virtues gets you Absolute Resolution and cooldown reduction on Purging Flames, which are both outstanding condition dumps. Absolute Resolution is great because not only does it have a stupidly huge range (it hits 4 allies within 1200) but it also has a healing component and Regeneration built in to help reset the clock on the damage you took. Purging Flames is a mini version of that without the heal. Personally I’ve never noticed the extra condition duration reduction effect on PF, but every little bit helps.
