How's medi guard looking in WvW post-patch?
It’s pretty kitten good at the moment in my opinion… fun to play, super explosive play (blow someone up or get blown up) and yeah, enjoyable.
Medi guard should only really be utilised in small scale skirmishes though, in large scale it’s not as efficient as default AH shout frontliner.
For build, I run Honor, Virtues and Valor but the meta is apparently Zeal instead of Honor… I just prefer the 3k health and more defensive stuff with Honor over the more DPS with Zeal because I find I already have enough damage. Full zerk everything. S/F + GS.
(This is all assuming when you say Medi guard you mean Mediburst… if you mean some new weird Meditation front liner build I can’t really comment sorry and ignore this comment.)

Yeah, I meant power roaming Guard. I’ve been trying to play a GWEN class that is also fun to roam on.
Power roaming is great right now. There are so issues, like lack of disengage, but overall you will have fun. The only 1v1s I lose are against players that are just better players. I never really feel out classes. You can even 1v2 / 1v3 bad players.
Suggestions: hydromancy and rage on GS has lead to so many kills. I love it. I use radiance while solo. I do this for the on demand immobilize. In a group I use zeal for the shattered aegis burst. Also, this took me forever to except, but it seems that the best defense is a good offense with Medi. I used to mix in some toughness gear, but recently switched to full glass. The offensive pressure I can put out with huge auto attacks, is typically more beneficial than the extra toughness. Autos alone can bait dodges and leave them open for full burst.

It’s more or less the same; every pre-patch build still works effectively. I’d even say it’s better due to the fact that stats aren’t tied to certain trees and with the addition of new traits such as Smiter’s Boon.

I’m finding it pretty funny, especially with the torch trait. Smacking people at any time you land a crit and getting the chance to toss another zealot’s fire has led to some pretty hilarious KOs for fights I clearly should have lost.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
