I’m thinking of making a guardian class, but I’m not to sure what race to do it with, I already have a norn ranger (don’t judge) and am pondering on either a human or an Asura.

Any help will be appreciated greatly

Asura have coolest animations imho, tho don’t forget that you won’t really be able to show off with your armor since they are so small they might as well wear a bag on their heads and no1 would notice.

If you want to make a chandy porn chick like I did pick human – female faces are not really… mature so to speak – it’s either bimbo makeup or teen.

Asura have much better racials for a Guardian. Other than that, it’s up to you.

while foofad is right about the asura racials, they dont even come close to the usefulness of our utilities so it boils down to which race’s appearance do you like best and the cultural armor

Asura, the animations are great. Also, the culture armor looks good.

Technobabble can be nearly OP when used in burst builds to lock down people while you beat them to death.

I’m Human but played a Asura all through out the beta weekends. However, it was a elementalist. Had I rolled a guardian during that time chances are high I would be playing a Asura today.

Asura + 2 Handed Hammer = lots of fun.

I am a human and wish I was an asura followed by norn.

Asura at minimal size, shorter than a Skrit.

I really like my Charr. They just look cool as guards I think.

Human has nothin good really imho.

Norn for snowleopard stealth escapes while roaming altho it takes 2-3 sec to do it.

Asura for less agrro in zergs if u want that. People dont even see u or care what u doin.
If u want attention biggest norn will do that. The amount of push aggressive effect norn has over asura is insane. Speakin from experience where i would move/break a zerg range standoff just cause i played the biggest norn with a schyte staff lol. Dunno how it is today with default models ON tho. I’v made smallest female norn and i can say i feel less targeted than before tho.

Asura for 1v1 fights with less obvious animations.

Asura has confusion on demand so i can see it workin nicely with perplexity runes if u want condi guardian with 2100 or more condi dmg. Altho norn has owl bleed utility now that i remember.

Charr for on demand 6 second fury on a shorter cd than save your selfs. Doesnt count as a shout tho.

The owl bleed is horrid. Haha. Don’t roll a norn just for that.

i have male Norn Guardian. and i love it. animal forms are fun, but when i find myself in a good fight, i would much rather have class elites.

i like Visuals, so i can enjoy my armor and weapons.

but because of their awesome animation, i created an Asura Guardian as well.D love sword 3 as he levitates in the air. somersauly mighty blows on hammer 2. how he lugs two handed weapons over his shoulder as he runs. it’s great. hard to see your shinies, but also hard for your enemies to see your tells in WvW/PvP. some racial skills can add a lot of utilioty to Guardians as well depending on how you want to spec and play. : ))

though, i severely dislike Asura story but if you’re not worried about that. ; ))
