I am pretty new in this game. I get 80 about 3 weeks ago, i get 2 set full exotic, soldier and cleric.

My gear is a mess, but i mix them to get that stats. And i use some gems for my another build (shared items). This is without food or buff. With hammer equipped i get some more heal and power but my healing power get low. And in combat i get 150 more toughness from traits.

How can i improve or i need another new build?

You could swap Two-Handed Mastery for Empowering Might and build up your crit chance. If you run with a full party around you you’ll effectively get a max of five heals every five seconds due to Altruistic Healing. I think the Greatsword is a better AH weapon for EM because of Whirling Wrath; that’s what I tend to roll with when I’m zerging it up.

Hammer, staff and mace are the champs when it comes to procc AH. GS is fourth and scepter and sword are the worst ones.

Empowering might has 1s internal cd so it cant procc more than twice on ww. Also remember that it has tiny range.

Hammer for instance have three protection pulses each chain, six hits and with 50% crit chance it proccs empowering might 2-3 times each chain. and every second chain you trigger retaliation with mighty blow.

This means 9-10 boons every 7th second approx and then you multiply it with the numbers of opponents in the aoe. Writ of exaltation makes this silly good on a hammer in wvw and writ of persistance adds one boon per chain making it 11-12 boons.

with 3 allies and you in the aoe it means 12*4*76 (30 points in honor) which equals up to 3648 in incoming heals or 1824 heals per chain. No other weapon can trigger AH this way.

Hence why its possible to be the first one in and last one out in zergs with berserker/valkyrie gear combined with signet of judgement and protection from two shouts.

Sure you can swap for empowering might an in pve i would do that, if you want to pvp i would say that 2h mastery is mandatory for hammer gameplay since might blow is the major dps tool in pvp and in pve its the chain.

If yopu want to go for GS i would have 2h mastery in both pve and pvp since it increases both utility and dps.

Unless your constantly facing large zergs, I think overall two-handed mastery will help more in the long run than empowering might. Even if you switched from hammer to staff for the aoe, from my experience the reduction on MB/empower/symbol cd will net you more AH ticks.

As far as +healing goes, its more of a preference than anything. Some love it while some see it as a wasted stat. If anything its how much +healing you feel comfortable with, do you want high dmg low heal, low dmg high heal or average of both. It also comes down to who you are supporting. When I run with friends I run more healing since I can rely on them to make up the damage I lose. When I’m with randoms I tend to swap out a few clerics for knights or soldiers.

I’m a bit curious on why you went with 3x water 3x fighter instead of all fighter or 3x water/monk

Thanks for all the advices.

I haven’t monk runes. I think when i have it i will run 2 water 2 monk and maybe 2 dwayna. Or 3 monk and 3 water. I use fighter runes temporally.

Switch one of the weapons for Staff if needed.
Drop Healing Power. If you really want it, take a stacking weapon for +250.
IMO better off with accuracy or bloodlust instead of Life

3x monk/water gives you a little more healing power
vs
2x water/monk/dwayna for the 20% to regen

Hmm.. Honestly haven’t tested out + regen duration as much as I’d like to have, so not sure which would be better in the long run.

2x monk / water / sanctuary (Major) would be the standard meta for boon runes. I ran monk/water/sanct for awhile but later switched to 4x Altruism 2x Monk. Lost 10% boon but gained 3 stacks of might for myself/group on heal.

Have you considered 6x soldier runes? Decent survival, and you’re running a shout build, meaning that you’ll clear out a lot of conditions, which are extremely common in wvw.

Anyhow, OP it’d be nice if you told us what role you want to play (zerg support, small group, etc) so we can give you something more specific.

I usually do GS/Scepter and Shield but swap the gs with staff in large fights. Usually I prefer small groups, but zerging is nice too. I’ve been trying hammer instead of gs as well.

It’s really good at taking people down in tower fights or times where you can just shoot from behind a zerg. =p

Certainly, the last 10 pts in zeal can be put into valor or virtues or something; that. That depends on how much survival I feel I need. Also, the trinkets can be ignored, they’re berserker from pve since I only have so many laurels and don’t do fractals so backpiece is junk too— I actually don’t remember if it was soldiers or cavaliers or something. :p

I need a build for small groups. I trade weapons according what i need (GW/H – GS/Sw-Focus mostly, sometimes scepter/shields)

Now i am roaming with full clerics, 16k heal, 3400 armor, 2800 attack, but almost no critical chance but with a lot of healing power. I have a great regeneration and survivability, but i feel lack of damage. I know i am almost no attack damage but even with others builds with 3200 attack i feel the same.

I feel the mostly damage output dont come from power/attack in this game, its come from critical damage, there is no direct defense vs critical, no critical chance reduction or direct critical damage reduction like WoW. Only % armor, but i feel critical damage scale way better than armor.

I am pretty new, surely i am wrong about this, i havent items yet to test this, but is what i see with my guardian with 3400 armor. Critical hit too hard, and they are constantly spamming it, your defensive buff go in CD and you have lack of mobility to go out of combat for get the CD back. And your damage output is too low to fight back and force them to stop attacking.

I depend on my teammates to kill, i am only find a place as support, i want to be more tanky/dps, well balance between damage and tanky but i dont know how to build that.
