Guild Wars 2

hey. so i’ve been testin lots of builds since xpac launched and i thought all hope is lost for those without HoT. but nope. this post essentially is just to help out Guards in PvP/WvW and stay competetive. really a decent build that i think even deserves meta cuz i’ve been able to 1v2/3 with this one. main idea is “Get rid of that slow-mo GS and zeal trait”. i noticed long ago people avoid GS burst very easily cuz animation is slow. and as much as the Sword is sketchy it’s way quicker. you land atleast 3-4 hits before ur enemy dodges. and main defense with this one is Focus. traited Focus. i always liked double melee builds but Torch seemed to screw me up when it comes to defense. so hell why not just having Focus on both sets. in Radiance u could either go with “Radiant fire” or “Retribution”. in Virtues u can either go “Supreme Justice” or “Absolute Resolution”. i prefer it this way tho – http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vVAQRAsd7dlsAhqhY3QwcIwPEH1D1NAW0YwOBnwhmDxSMFB (not a condi build btw. Zerker/Valkyrie mix. Runes are either Flame Legion or any DPS boosting runes like scholar etc. u wont need Travelers with this one cuz u got Scepter as ranged and u got ur Sword #2. so u can pull that extra damage gettin rid of Travelers.)

it takes time to get used to it but overall it’s a very fun build and i gotta say quite OP. focus on your scepter. time well your Focus #5 and dont use it too early. cooldown reduction will save you big time. okie Guard fellas i encourage you to use it if you are having trouble staying competetive.
