Ideal gear - weapons for a AH-shout guardian?

I would get mixed soldier / knight for trinkets and armor. The rest like sigils and runes should be based on your play style. Like, do you want more damage, or survivability?

Why on earth would a AH shout Guardian automatically gravitate to some of the most defensive armors in the game? OP doesn’t even explain what content he would use this gear in … really people!
OP, for your own sake, please explain to us what content you are doing and WHY you have chosen AH-shout build. There is not enough information here to suggest gear for you.

Do not bother with clerics with AH. It scales extremely badly with it unless you’re playing wvw and you want to use sigil of water/renewal.
As for the rest it really depends on what you do. If it’s not wvw, zerker is the best bet.

Afaik cleric’s gear scales very poorly. For every 100 healing power, you’ll only heal 1 more hp. If you’re going WvW, I’d suggest Staff/Hammer and platinum doubloons on everything. 14 platinum doubloons will give you an extra 54%, and if you have 6 points in virtues you’ll get 84% boon duration. I can’t recommend this for dungeons, but I can for zergy events and WvW.
If you take 6 in virtues and AH you’ll end up with something like 0/0/6/2/6 and thus lose out on empowering might, two handed mastery, dodge heals, and/or pure of voice. IMO investing so much into boon duration is not worth the loss of stats in particular health and also condition removal, but the later is more of an issue in wvw.
If you were into heavy consecration use (purging flames/reflects/hallowed ground) I think virtues would be more worth it. But on a triple shout build, there’s literally nothing to put in the first virtues slot but the retaliation duration which is okay but hardly an issue in zergs. And then Absolute Resolution is great, but over time I’ve become less and a less of a fan of any other trait in the line. Indomitable courage is nice, but the long cooldown means that blowing renewed focus is pretty much needed to make it useful.
In any case, I think having Superior Rune of the water set in armor would be better. It would give 20% boon duration as opposed to the doubloon’s 24% duration but also grant other benefits, such as increasing the effectiveness of your heal skill. If we take the base numbers on the wiki (I don’t want to account for healing power), shelter base heal is 4500~** and the water heal is 690, meaning that’s more than a 10% boost to your heal skill, plus it becomes aoe.
Generally, I think 0/1/6/6/1 with trooper seems to be the most balanced build for its purpose.

PVE Guardian, which makes sense regarding AH- Shout

Full Trooper Runes
Switch 1 Shout for Wall Of Reflection and make sure Master Of Consecrations is active.
Weapons I only ever use are: Mace/Shield and then Staff/Hammer (Hammer I use writ of persistence for Perma Protection.
I have used this build pretty much since Beta/Closed and its never failed me, Lupi etc never an issue. The Heals are incredible.
