…new kinds of weaponry would be announced then what weapons would you like for our guardians ? I raise hand for a polearm with medium range offensive weapon with few defensive capabilities.

I heard people cryin’ that cestus isn’t guardian-like, but so is a bow. Is there any other game that has paladin/crusader/guardian archetype that uses long ranged weapons like bows ? If Dragonhunter will be a heavy armoured ranger then why the heck can’t (at some point in the future)we be righteously smacking enemies in the face with a “Fist of Justice” ? Kits and Spear

Kits = ‘Chants’ where a new skill set is given depending on the chant (watered down tomes).

Spear/Lance because it suits the guard nicely.

Not likely to be fist weps purely because of it REALLY not suiting guard. Longbow works well in the sense of Paladins in other fantasy settings being able to use Longbows.

Also likely longbow is the viable ranged option that seems to suit and armored fighter over a pistol or rifle, that and the name Dragonhunter implies a hunter style aspect, of which the bow and arrow are iconic hunting weapons.

TL:DR

Paragon style.

I second the spear, or trident, I am amazed they didn’t make some underwater weapons as land weapons with the expansion honestly. There are some pretty awesome skins out there too for it…

Since we’re dreaming, I would love to be able to wield a pistol.
Traits: counts as a 1 hand weapon. Bullets heal allies and pistol pierces (1 trait)

1. 1/4 the speed of scepter that only effects a single target. Low damage but allows for F1 procs to stack up to 6-7 burns if traited for supreme justice. 4-5 stacks if not.
2. Shot that stuns a single target. (if thieves can steal Stuns from us, then why not?)
3. Shoots 5 slow shots in 1s intervals. Shots blinds a single target and applies burning.

Yea… that’s all I got. Ideas are welcomed lol.

Spears as a ground variant or throwin a javelin, why isn’t this a thing ?
It’s a really nice concept, I hope that Anet will consider it someday.

Yeah, I guess you are right Pyriel, let’s leave that one to warriors, thieves or rangers perhaps.
But I’d really love a pole weapon, gimmie that already !
