Mostly for WvW, I said about PvE only like gamemod that use same game mechanics as WvW.
Ofcourse, PvE and condition is impossible for today =(
You can do solo pve condition, but you wouldn’t be wanting radiant retal. Amplified and permeating wrath should suffice
I posted this the other day and it has been working very well so far. If you don’t want to use Carrion (for WvW it’s much cheaper), Celestial will work as well.
Ray of Judgement will give you a cover conditions, as will swapping weapons to get poison. Your Symbol on GS will also give you a few stacks of Vulnerability as well if you can get them to stand on it. If you avoid using the Pull on Binding Blade it means you’ll be ticing for some 1,600 with the option to pull once you see them go for a heal or condi removal.
As for PvE…can’t say if it’s viable but considering how little condi removal most mobs have they’ll be on fire constantly. You also don’t have to worry about stack limits and if a teammate is stacking might on you your burn alone will be over 1k a tic.

Not impossible just very awkward if you’re going pve with it use Krait Runes+Agony and Geomancy sigils added with Zeal and Amplified Wrath. Going only burn is going to take you forever but solo or control party the bleed-burn set-up works.
I wish an improvement for Radiant Retaliation like triggering per number of condition on you but not based on stacks.

Radiant retaliation is pointless cause first off, where are you getting the retaliation anyways… your utility is mostly getting burn access

If it was anything more and certain guardian zerker builds would be op. Not to mention every character uses the same gear (amulets, runes etc..) it’s all very balanced, really.

That’s like saying you are a very viable fighter because you can win a fist fight easily assuming the other person doesn’t have arms.
The only decent condi guardians are hybrids and radiant retal is pointless in a hybrid build.
Radiant Retal is a rather stupid trait to be honest. The whole idea to make a secondary effect reliant on ANOTHER secondary effect … to give average, situational performance is an insult to the playerbase. This trait is a massive Anet fail and shows devs don’t really get all the facets of the profession. They just nerfed retal damage/duration a year ago … now they try to boost it? Dear Anet Devs, please nail the elements on your Guardian class concept before trying to ‘fix’ the design.
Rant over. I tend to agree that a completely focused burning build is pretty hard to play and not better than a typical Zerker/meditation thing. What I find it does exceptionally well that zerker/medi does poorly is bunker melting, even if they do have condition cleansing. I still tend to go hybrid because there really isn’t a good response to high damage burst conditions.

If anything, I’d say that Kindled Zeal and Amplified Wrath both being grandmaster in zeal is the real hindrance. If KZ was dropped down to master trait there would at least be some good synergy in the line for condition damage. It would work even better with hybrid carrion builds.

I think they should just do us a favour and change KZ to something else. Preferably a trait for symbols that immobs enemies caught in it’s initial cast for 1s.

Of course, the scaling won’t stay the same. The only reason it was bumped up to 13% was because it was grandmaster. Considering the other grandmaster traits, KZ just doesn’t have that oomph. We don’t have enough options to make all condition damage preferable to +33% burning damage.

Yeah, considering our only condition is burning it’s like a 33% damage buff to the whole build. Hard to see how 13% of power converted to condition damage will ever out perform amplified wrath.
That 13% is suppose goes towards radiant retal and burning.
go 6,2,6,0,0 meditation build full condi (pvp carrion, wvw dire) you will do great 1v1 and some 1v2 and also in group fight
