I can’t give a lot of details because I was merely a witness. In LA today I was someone standing still and casting an infinite loop of Shield of Absorption. It was up for about 40 seconds each time and he was able to cast it again right as it ended and it lasted another 40 seconds. I tried to talk to him or whisper him to see how he did it and he would not respond. I can’t really bring proof, but believe me, it was real. I even logged onto another character to test combo finishers with it to make sure it was real and not just a graphical glitch. I was able to combo finish non-stop and hist Shield of Absorption was ALWAYS on except for the split second it took for him to cast it again.

Does anyone know how this is done? If it’s an exploit or glitch? If this is real it’s a BIG deal and I would love to know how it’s done. I watched him for about 20 minutes and whispered/talked to him or anyone around to try and figure it out. He never said anything and no one knew, but he had his shield up for the entire time and was able to recast it the instant it ran out.

Clearly he was a witch.

But seriously, probably a glitch. Worth looking into though.

I’ve seen a similar thing happen a lot in Wv3, the bubbles seem to cause a graphical glitch and the bubble stays in place even if there’s nobody around. Maybe he was causing the visual glitch and just standing inside the bubble?

Leaving this skill in auto cast mode will cause the shield to display the dome animation forever until the player inputs a command. The dome itself will not keep negating ranged attacks past its normal intended duration.

Does he have a shield of the avenger out?

I’ve done it before by using it and popping the heal on it. The thing that made it persist was standing completely motionless. Sheathing my weapons made it disappear.
I think it’s purely graphical, I don’t think it absorbs projectiles for the whole duration.

OP said he kept testing for combos though? and he tested it for 20 mins. pretty crazy if it was real.

BTW seeing “Combo” doesn’t necessarily mean there was one, for example projectiles with a chance say “Combo” regardless of the RNG. Possible that because the graphical glitch was present, it was showing “Combo.”

More useful would be to know if the OP was seeing any actual buffs pop up with the proper finishers.

BTW tested this today. ( auto-attack on shield#5 ).
While it’s true the bubble graphic persists for most of the duration of the skill CD ( it stops for about 8 seconds and then is refreshed by auto-attack firing ), it only allows combos in the 4 second window after the bubble appears each time.
