Is Zealot's Defense bugged?

The Zealot’s Defense tooltip reads,

Damage(8x): 1560

Block Duration: 3 Seconds

Range: 600

However, recently my Guardian is only casting 4 projectiles for around 1560 damage. The block duration is about 1 1/2 seconds. Is there something going on here that’s wrong? No matter what I try, he will never cast 8 projectiles or block for the full 3 seconds.

Also, shield of absorption only lasts for 2 seconds, tooltip says 4, is that a bug as well?

They are bugged.

The sword #3 also does not block, it simply absorbs projectiles. Meaning it cannot interact with traits.

Also even if it fired all of it’s attacks off & even accounting for the fact that the sword AA will often miss on moving targets the #3 skill is a DPS loss to just using the AA and hoping it all hits.

These skills aren’t alone in their problems either.

If you look at the mace #3 in combat you will notice it is the only melee block in game that can be triggered & ended by ranged attacks. Every other melee block can only be ended by a melee attack & will thus continue to block ranged attacks until it ends.

The radius is like, virtually nonexistent. I’d honestly rather just have a self block that only triggers from melee range.

I’d rather have Mace3 launch a projectile of equivalent strength to the melee attack you normally get when you block something if it gets hit by a ranged attack, personally. Make it a piercing projectile so that you get some of the AoE that the melee attack has too. That would make it more unique. Plus, if it didn’t end when hit by a ranged attack you’d be able to block for 3 seconds AND get protection at the end as long as you were hit by ranged attacks only, which might be too much.

I’d also like to see the ability to cancel the block early and trigger the protection manually, but that’s a different matter entirely.

Warrior mace 2 ends after a first hit unless you trait for reflect on block..
In case of zealot defense howered deflection still works for a moment once animation is over. Overall unresponsive and bugged skill.

The floating damage numbers only change 4 times, but if you go into your combat log it will show 8 different hits.
