Alright so I know the boon duration on givers armor is pretty weak but I need an absolute UNKILLABLE build for wvw and givers armor seems to fit that role pretty well. Sentinel’s is also way too expensive for me. Would givers armor be alright if my goal is to never in zergs?

Giver is beyond terrible for armor. Full armor set gives you 6% boon duration, that’s not going to help. You can easily just use a food that gives you 20% boon duration if you want that. Soldier, Sentinel, Knight, or Cleric if you want something tanky. You don’t have to go with one type either. Min and max your gear to get the best results.

Givers is horrendous. Don’t touch it with a ten foot pole.

Also, if you’re looking to be truly unkillable in WvW you’re going to be disappointed. Not just with Guardian, but everyone. The only thing that comes close is Thieves because they have so many escapes.

Boon duration is as dumb as the current crit damage. The stat is not consistent. The reason behind it is probably because of the dumb rune stacking to get easy 45% boon duration. They badly designed those runes, so why not ruin another so things get “balanced”. Giver’s is a worse case version of this.

I like to use 5 exquisite snowflakes to reach 100% boonduration (45% runes, 30% traits, 20% food, 5% snowflakes), but thats only because I think 95% boonduration looks stupid. I have no Idea if they are worth it

Armor? No. Please not.

When Anet rebalances Runes and Sigils next big patch you’ll probably find that that won’t work anymore. They’re going to rearrange how the boon duration is laid out on them.

You could double that boon duration on a full set of Givers and it may be useful, debatable at least.
