Lately I keep fighting condition specs almost 80% of the time while solo roaming and I feel like I’m at a pickle.

Considering how many conditions they can stack with next to no cooldown (engis, necros) I’m wondering if it isn’t warranted dropping JI for purging flames or even dropping SYG for it and relying on blocks from virtue and focus to stomp.
Just tonight I fought an engi that kept reapplying almost all of his conditions as soon as I cleansed them.

Need an edge, any ideas?

Solo roaming is not, and should not be encouraged by Guardians, Almost all our tools will effect a group of five by the same as it effects us( ourself and additional 4 other players). Therefore in most scenarios you are missing out of atleast 4/5 of you’r abilitys effect by roaming.

Currently medi burst build has been promoted as a effective roaming or burst build. And dead foes deal no damage towards you, or in you’r case. Do not re apply condi. Main problem with Medi burst build would be it is rather predictable and you will performe alot bether if you have a allie to tie you’r foe down. That being said.

First why only pick two, we need to atleast know you’r specc, playstle. Prefered weapons and you’r other tied up Utility before giving you more tips.

I’m running 10/5/30/5/20, meds and virtue of resolve traited for condi cleanse. Major pieces are celestial, minor PVT (traveler runes), zerker weapons (GS/ SW-torch as of recently for added burst and gs/sw-fc). Two energy sigils for each weapon swap and a BL/Force depending if i already have 25 stacks. Running with shelter as heal and atm JI, SC, CoP. Despite the amount of condition cleansing I still end up being burned through endless conditions way too fast.

Trying to decide if swapping JI for Purging Flames or should I swap CoP for it cuz of the lower CD.

I dislike running with the zerg as it feels mindless and more like PvE than PvP. That being said, I don’t like sPvP either as it makes me feel limited (x point is there, go get it and keep it). I’m well aware of the limitations Guardians have but in general as long as I don’t get bombed by conditions I do fine.

I would drop judge’s intervention, as you already are using Traveler Runes and have leap of faith on the GS and flasing blade on your sword to prevent enemies from running. Purging Flames is great for condition cleansing and would recommend to trait Master of Consecrations in the vitue trait line.

Anyway my real advice would be to try to change your gear for berserker/knight mix or full zerker if you’re gonna focus on 1v1 roaming. A dead oponent can’t apply conditions on you and guardians, no matter what armor they use, have a low base HP, what makes us weak agains conditions (Toughness=endure bursting dmg and Vitality=endure Condition dmg). Most Necros and Engis fall real fast.

I rarely have probs with necros, Engineers is what gets me. I was considering more berserker pieces but I postponed it till after I get the applied fortitude.
