I rolled a Guardian yesterday, and I must say they far out-fun my Warrior. Lots of utility.

Anyhow, I have “Melee attack assist” disabled at all times so I can run through an enemy if I need to. You need to, too, if you want to be able to do this trick.

I discovered that moving into an enemy’s hitbox while using Whirling Wrath (keep an eye out for their little red circle under their feet, get into that) will allow many of your projectiles to hit on top of the spin’s damage. My longtime Guardian guildie gained a 30-40% damage increase from this!

I added it to the wiki as well. To my knowledge this is not exploiting as much as kiting or using an Elementalist’s Burning Speed into a wall on top of an enemy.

So we could say that there is a bug when using whirling wrath in combination of melee attack assist because the projectiles don’t hit?

No bug, its just that the projectiles come from inside the enemy hitbox, meaning that most if not all will hit.
