LVL 80 for a while, not too happy
I’m running 0/15/0/30/25, and match your DPS (or exceed it with a hammer in PvE). Guardians have extremely powerful boons, easy access to all of the boons in the game, and can apply them to both themselves and allies. We’re also obscenely good at removing conditions with shouts. Healing is doable, but it’s also not something you want to focus on to the exclusion of everything else. The same with support, or anything else really. We’re fantastic generalists; we can do a bit of just about everything. Trying to do one thing to the exclusion of everything else, though, limits our builds severely.
^^^ Hit the nail on the head
Gotta find a proper balance of things. We’re a jack of all trades and shine in any situation

Your build seems like it would have decent dps and more healing but less crit. I’m sitting somewhere around 35-40%. Does that make much of a difference?
0/0/30/30/10 seems pretty popular these days. I.e., AH & Empowering Might. Knight’s gear works great with it – just need to have enough additional precision on your jewelry to get about 1 crit/sec. Groupmates love might
Balance between damage, defence, healing will probably yield the most enjoyment from the class. You are free to deviate further into one direction, which is why you see so many builds that look similar, but with a few points placed in different areas.

I’ve decided to go with this build. AH + EM with knight gear, and emerald gems for crit so that EM will proc more. I now have something like 17k hp and 3k armor and with bloodlust on the GS and shouts for support I feel like a Juggernaut of buffs. I’m loving this build and armor combo. I’d even be willing to sacrifice some of my hp for crit. Oh and my toughness is near 2k as well, so that compensates for health a bit.
I’ve been 80 for a while and I don’t really know where I fit in dungeons as far as my profession. I read the forums, and full support or tank is frowned upon as being useless. After watching a video of Warrior DPS, I don’t think my guard will ever come close. Now, many will say, but you can live longer blah blah blah, sure. In Fractals dungeon today I just found myself wet noodling mobs with WW with tops maybe 4-5k hit. And helping up falling comrades. kitten for healing, though I don’t have much healing gear. I see these full exotic Guards prancing around and I feel like asking them what their builds are or for advice, but it’s always the same answer, play how you like man. Well I want decent dps and decent healing. Can anyone help me out, please.
Edit: my current build is 30/30/0/5/5
I’ve been stacking knight armor. Don;t have full exotics for accessories yet.
Don’t run Zeal trait. It’s, uh, quite a mess.
Try this:
0/10/30/30/0
I use shouts as skills and Knights gear and Berserker trinkets. Crit chance is around 40ish, which for me is mediocre. Crit damage is 60ish, which is mediocre as best. HP pool will play around 15-17k, defense around 2.9k to 3k.
They love me at dungeons. :p
Have fun
I kind of have to agree with the topic. I went for a 0/10/30/30/0 build focusing on AH with full Cleric’s Gear (to maximize output) and found myself dying extremely fast in melee combat when I take too much aggression.. I’ll be focusing over the next few weeks on grinding dungeons for tokens or Jalis’s armor to get the Healing/Vitality/Precision armor and give that a chance. Maybe the extra crit chance will make the crit-reliant traits better as long as losing nearly 1,000 toughness won’t be noticeable. I feel like compared to the first Guild Wars, this one requires a lot more time and effort into finding your perfect build. Before, you only needed one armor set. All that changed was your atrribute points and skill bar (which you may had to unlock the skill). Don’t get me wrong, I’m enjoying this game far more than the previous. I’m just not keen on equipment grinding games.
