Large/huge symbols, what am I missing?
Are you by chance asuran?
..No I’m human.
The area of effect for everything should be the same. The tan ring is an indicator of positive area of effect that appears regardless of its origin, for example another player. The blue symbol is just the animation and isn’t tied directly to the skill effects. I’ve never heard of this happening before, I’m not sure what you’ve tried so far, but try resetting your traits, logging out and in, etc.
The honor trait path has 3 skills that help Symbols. Symbols are larger, symbols last longer, and symbols heal others. I use all three and that accounts for my extra large symbol. I cannot speak for others on that though.
If you’ve got writ of exaltation, you’ve got the big symbols. You may be getting them confused with the consecrations like Purging Flames or Hallowed Ground which looks similar but have a larger area of effect.
Hmm, I’m still seeing other players symbols larger. Specifically, as I stated above, Symbol of Wrath, and I have Writ of Exaltation traited, although I don’t have the symbols last longer or healing symbols traits. Really weird, but I suppose I’ll just live with it.
As Sir Digby stated, Honor line will give you larger symbols as one of the traits. Have you tried that?
That is strange, and perhaps a bug. You may want to file a report, but make sure to double check it. Ask another Guardian with the trait to drop a symbol and then make sure you have it traited as well and do the same. If there is a size discrepancy, report it. Otherwise, problem solved.

I know you are trying to help, but I mentioned I had this trait twice in my posts. Is it possible it’s another spell, is there another spell that shares the same graphics?

Aye, and 10 points into Virtues lets you cast them at range, which might be what he’s seeing.
