I think the skill deserves a little more love. Right now it’s simply too weak in sPvP for the following reasons:

1) sPvP is dominated by tank builds for guards to hold down points. Littany of wrath is near useless since DPS for guards in general is too low and sPvP is more centered around small fights where AoE skills don’t hit many people

2) When you use the skills there’s an indicator under your health bar that everyone can see. Everytime I use the skill people are quick to catch on and simply kite to kill my healing as guardians are not very mobile

Suggested buffs:

Make it instant, like the rest of the meditations, and remove the indication under your health bar

Thoughts?

Please dear sir. You have clearly picked the wrong class since you describe that our ability’s are weak and need a buff. Guardian is a experimental class that only receive nerfs and worthless Traits.

If you have any viable way to make it even less useful please respond with that in mind. Else, go to the Warrior forum and give them more ideas on how to be a better class.

2. Instant is a good idea, but if you look thru here you’ll see many people have brought it up and many people have said that anet doesn’t want uninterruptable heal skills. They have said prev they are reducing the cast time from 1s to .75s, which… helps?

Better is better I guess, even if it is marginal and still results in a useless skill.

I don’t think it would be bad to have an instant skill that isn’t interruptable. Most classes have something alone that line already, including guard shelter, which is not instant, but blocks all attacks.

I don’t think it would be bad either since, like you said, if you get kited so that you can’t land any meaningful dps to gain the 20% hp, you were essentially countered. But, sounds like Anet disagrees, or doesn’t care, either way, no love.

I don’t really buy the “we don’t want uniterruptable healing skills” argument that they put out.

Healing signet already provides strong uninterruptable healing, and mantra of recovery can be prepared from stealth to be virtually uninterruptable. Additionally, the withdraw skill is instant cast and thus uninterruptable once cast (even evades attacks for 3/4 of a second), although I’m pretty sure you can’t be stunned if you want to use it.

So they should either make litany of wrath instant cast but not useable from CC, or give it a 1/4 cast time like defiant stance. 3/4 cast time will still be too long. Guardians are better off going with shelter for an instant 2 second block and simply using their instant cast meditations for heals rather than relying on a slowly cast meditation that often can’t provide sufficient healing on its own in the first place, simply being outdamaged or CC’ed into uselessness.
