Need advice for a level 72 Guardian, engaged in her Personl Story. Problem is, she lacks of an efficient long range weapon. Have three level 72 Rangers performing Personal story step by step with the Guardian and play is way easier for them because of the Longbow.
When she comes to close combat things are quicker than the Rangers, really efficient, but Guardian takes more damage, because she can’t shoot keeping at a distance and alternate locations. So. I tried the Staff, it’s a failure to me, seems really slow and uneffective. Need some suggestion on how the Guardian can survive the personal Story (i.e. there’s a Mouth of Zhaitan further on in PS that needs long range weapons to be killed).

You’re not using scepter? The projectile moves slowly but its DPS is high once the orbs start to connect with the target.

I see. Thanks. I possibly underestimated Scepter, to the point I forgot its existence.
I’ll give it a try for sure.
At the moment I use Sword + Shield and GS. Full Berserker armor, weapons and so on.

Sword is better solo due to fury, but Scepter can be used when you need range. In parties, when there are other sources of fury, scepter is better.

Sc/torch-hammer or Sw/focus is a very good combination. You can also swap to longbow for some special fights. Lb dps is not good but you can complete the fight..

Lvl 72 guardians don’t have access to Longbow yet.

You are also going to need the scepter for a couple of places in the Victory or Death personal story mission.
