Guild Wars 2

I’m new to the game and looking to make more of a caster type guardian. Is my best bet scepter/torch or staff? I’m looking for light or blue flame type attacks. I know my build wouldn’t be as strong as a hammer or VS or mace/shield combo but I want something fun to learn the game before getting too serious with it.

Scepter/torch and staff would be perfectly fine together if you wanted to do that too. Don’t worry too much about what kind of build you start with now, as it looks like pretty soon the big specialization update will happen (which will change everything).

Ok thanks for the heads up. Those combos seemed to be the most arcane at the moment.
