I created a Necro guild not too long ago for teaching Necromancers that actually became quite effective ingame, I have helped/aided over 90+ new Necros. What I need, is for good Guardians (Or bad ones willing to learn) to step up, and join the guild (there is no need to represent) to teach/aid new players upon request. If you wish to give your expertise back to the community, to help players learn a class and get better at PvP/PvE/WvW, please use this application and either

*I guess I’d say Engi then Necro. That was the order I created them at least. The only prof I don’t have is Ele, and the only ones not at 80 are War and Ele.

*Haven’t checked in a bit due to software issues, but I’d say just shy of 400, with 1.1k amassed. (I’ll update when I know)
*Theorycrafting is almost all I do
*I’ve done much more lurking than contributing to this community, but contribute is something I can do.
*I’d absolutely be willing to prove (or offer up for vetting) my skills and knowledge.

Admittedly, I wouldn’t consider myself a paragon of knowledge, especially about the very high-end of Guardian-ing. I don’t pvp, and I’ve only started wvw while working on my legendary (which I’ve also just started working on).

I do aim, however, for a broad, generalist view of how mechanics work and how I can help new players or anyone else. Especially with build crafting, I encourage focus on learning how to build, rather than handing out builds for people to copy-paste. I’m not so big on having one, optimal, do not question your lords and masters type builds and thought processes.

Anyway, I hope I can help the community a bit more as a whole, and as I see the need to expand my knowledge and skills, I’ll be able to continue to help. I’m generally on ~3pm – 10pm est if anyone needs to contact me. Fort Aspenwood.

Might be interested. I haven’t been able to log in a bit (moving, getting a new modem for my main computer), but for the sake of maybe:

• Guardian primary, impulsively played secondaries of all other professions

• How many hours on your class do you have?: Between 2,500 and 3,000. Can’t check currently, but it’s a lot for amount of time I’ve actually had my account (almost shameful, really). Primarily WvW playtime, some sPvP, decent amount of PvE.
• How many builds have you theory crafted?: Plent; primarily WvW-centric builds for roaming, havoc play, zerg play, and competitive play.
• Would you consider yourself a good contributor to your community?: Reasonably.
• Are you friendly/helpful?: Reasonably.
• Would you be willing to prove your skill/knowledge ingame?: Of course.

Yeah basically I have 900 hours played, but I’m still a poor guardian in my opinion, so yeah help would be greatly appreciated.

This is not about me. This is about helping the community. I don’t teach Guardian anyway. As soon as a competent Guardian becomes trust worthy enough to be the head teacher and allow the guild to be self-maintaining, I’d leave the guild.

Though if this is your general attitude, I don’t think you would be a very good teacher in the first place, good day.

Due to the large quantity of applicants I did not expect, please whisper me ingame when I am on so as I can immediately invite you to the respective guilds to make keeping track of players easier.

I think this is the pot calling the kettle out but to each his or her own.

Point being, this is what the forums are for. In this sub forum it would be all things relating to the Guardian. There are some stickies and discussions already going on. In fact, maybe it would be a better idea to discuss this here rather than in-game wherehas only the guild members would see. “IF” they would see actually because they may or may not be online when the so-called lesson is going on.

You probably lost 99.9% of interest once you listed your criteria for teaching anyway. Who is to say hours played or age is the defacto standard by which to judge? Moreover, they could have played since first round of head start, rolled a guardian, and only played dress-up Barbie yet have more hours logged than anyone else? Furthermore, they could also max out every character slot, reached max level, and never set foot outside Lions Arch…

Not that you asked, well, actually; you did because you posted. My vote would be to do it here like it already has been done. There are probably 6 to 12 active posters discussing builds and theory crafting on various things. Heck, look at one recently talking about Celestial armor.

Good luck I guess but my vote is to keep it where for the masses.
