They have a release cycle of over 1 month for changing a single number? No wonder they can’t get around to fix bugs ^^
if u know anything about programming or even the very very basics of software / game dev, ud know increasing sceptor projectile speed should be as simple as changing some variables…. ie; i could do it for them.
Or…maybe it wasn’t that high of a priority? I mean it isn’t game breaking to our class.

Correct wording and syntax also matter in programming. I wouldn’t trust you at coding anything at all.

Whats the big deal? Just remove melee assist and stand inside him.
I love the interpretations … The dev guys said they recognized scepter speed should be fixed and was especially clear that he had no idea when it would happen either. If you think that means ‘next patch’, you have alot to learn about software dev cycle … or reading.

Also, you have to consider that they want to make sure that the fix is balanced since it is arguably the highest ranged dps in the game.

possible reasons:
- they don’t want to
- it works good enough as it is (even if you think it does not)
- the “problem” is not important enough (e.g. still fixing traits)
- busy with crappy crab tossing

I’m disappointed in the change to our projectile absorbing skills. Our reflects already didn’t work on unblockable projectiles. There are a lot of unblockable projectiles in PvE, and now there’s absolutely no reason to bring either wall of reflection OR shield of the avenger when facing these enemies.

It kind of is. He compares it to a Necro Staff Necrotic Grasp (The 1), which is alo very slow. The difference, though, is that it’s 22% faster on projectile, casts .5 seconds slower than Orb of Light, but it passes through enemies. It actually hits stuff, though lol. Maybe they overlooked it, but it’d be nice if it sped up the projectile speed.

Necro Staff #1 still rarely hits anything at full range, but it is more reliable than orb at close range. At least you can throw twice as many orbs per unit time to compensate for the horrendous hit rate with Guardian scepter. It seems as though these 2 skills are balanced compared to eachother, but completely ignore all of the other #1’s in the game. Maybe it would be better to just make both of them channelled beams (a dark beam for Necro and a light beam for Guardian). You’d have to tweak damage down on scepter, but then they would at least hit occasionally. You’d give up the small projectile finish, but also eliminate the reflect/destroy projectile effects. Seems like a fair trade, and Guardian could really use a piercing ranged attack to great effect since no other set has a ranged auto (staff#1 doesn’t even count as far as I am concerned).

Only siege shots are unblockable, IIRC. As far as I can remember, any player-based projectile is absorbed by one of our 4 anti-projectile abilities.

We’re looking at you, Old Tom. This nerf (fix?) really changed how to manage several PvE encounters.

I was referring specifically to PvE encounters. Many monsters and bosses have unblockable projectiles. Old Tom in the uncatagorized fractal, for instance.
Also, thanks to the new signet of might, warriors can make their next 3 attacks unblockable. This includes things like kill shot. Though, shield bashing a guardian out of shelter is more trollish.
