Meditation Guardian and it's variations
I made my guardian 80 with Zealot stats (power, precision, healing power) but never played it because of the amount of terrible traits in zeal and radiance.
However, with the upcoming buffs, I’m currently thinking of meditation guard with zealots stats that is 4/0/6/4/0 with hammer, greatsword and ice runes (vitality, ice nova when hit and damage increase against chilled foes).
I understand that zealous blade is a low heal, but with zealot stats the heal is pretty much doubled. Also, glacial heart is getting a pretty good buff by being 15s cooldown and I do like my chills. (Off topic but I wonder if ice runes are going to go up in price with glacial heart buff?)
Think it’s a viable meditation build?

Zealots aren’t even in the PvP options. This is about sPvP not WvW or PvE
the main problem is that zeal after 2 points is useless based on dps. it is a power traitline which doesnt give more power then 5 honor or 5 radiance(10% dps =~200 power). thats problaby why the 4 builds you listed are the best builds available.
IF you want something for a change, you have to change the amulet ìnto something like a celestial and go for condi/dps. 602600 and heal with aegis/dodge. (this could be fun with the new spirit shield giving you aegis every 12 sec when activated)
I also did not ask for a new build
What i want to know is what ppl use, their experience with other variations beside 2/1/6/1/4. Meditation are selfish from them selfs already, is Absolute Resulotion so important if (since we are a bit squishy) we most likely will not use it for party cleanse and for our cleanse? I know the rest of the virtue line gives support with boons too, but still
For those who play more damage instead of party support, is it possible to kill D/D eles with that?
Mechanics wise u cant kill a well played dd ele.

I’ve used this in tourney’s with some pretty good success, I get some nice might stacks.
Of course you can switch the Force of Will for 20% CD on 2 handed weapons which isn’t bad. Sometimes I play GS/Hammer instead. Or you could take the 1 extra point in honor and put it in virtues for more might stacking, or put it into radiance for the blind on virtue of justice. There are a lot of ways you can play around with the build. But the constant is pretty much at least 2/x/6/5/x for me and the use of GS and having some really good might stacking capability. Sometimes I will switch the sigil of energy on one of my weapons for doom.
Or for some non-might stacking variants you could go Pack Runes. Since this pretty much gives you 6% more crit chance and 50% uptime on fury, I will switch out the fury on meditation for Strength in Numbers for more toughness to me and my team. And probably switch out the battle sigils for something like air/fire on a GS.
I usually run the 2/0/6/6/0 build.
I have done this with all sorts of gear.
Runes of Strength and Beserker or Celestial Trinket… both worked well.
Runes of Strength and Soldier Trinket… Sigil of Intelligence… works great
Runes of the Pack and Celestial Trinket… pretty darn good
Every single variation worked well.
ATM I am fiddling around with Contemplation of Purity, Stand Your Ground OR Hallowed Ground in the last slot. The only 2 classes that give me issues is a good Engi or DD Ele. Can probably fight about 4/5 people 1v1 and only really lose to someone who has more skill. It definitely is not the build.
Anet lied (where’s the Manifesto now?)
2/6/6/0/0 – Sw/F & Sc/Tr
That’s the one I run. Granted I only roam in WvW because I despise playing point capture though.

Is there any reason why you use litany of wrath over shelter?
I’ve been using litany of wrath quite a bit and I find that it gives me slightly better sustain. I’m currently using GS/Hammer, so shelter seems to be the only way to get off blocks to might stack.
I’ve been considering switching to Hammer/SwFc with litany of wrath because Sword3 and Focus5 give blocks, but then without WW from GS, litany of wrath heals for so much less…
Is litany of wrath worth using over shelther, with GS/Hammer??

With GS/Hammer no. With anything else, Idk but I will say no. Shelter is still the best heal Imo
Real Guards 6/2/6/0/0
I am working on a set of Wupwup (Ascended Celsetial) armor equipped with Traveler runes for my Guardian. Currently I have an exotic Celestial set. After playing around with several different builds I found one that works quite well in WvW that is a bit different then the norm. 0-0-6-6-2 Mind you I have only played with this build last night but it worked quite well with GS and Scepter/Shield.
I Play just With 2 0 6 6 0 GS / M/F
I try every meditation build and every Weapon and thats the Best Variation if u can Play this build and can use Blocks and blind!
PS sorry for my Bad english

Elusive Power and Empowering Might let’s me do nice damage while enjoying the nice survivability boost of honor tree. ^^
I don’t want to create a new topic, but I’d like some advice on picking sigils for a WvW roaming 6/2/6/0/0 Scepter/Focus (or shield?) + GS with Berserker gear and Traveler runes build.
I’ve so many times ended up purchasing expensive sigils to my characters and realising afterwards how pointless those were for him.
I’m especially interested in bringing Superior Sigil of Incapacitation (60% Chance to Critical: Inflict Crippled (2 Seconds) (Cooldown: 5 Seconds) to this build and see if it would help against kiters – this Sigil exists now, right?
I’m open to all sorts of suggestions considering traits as well
I always run 0/2/6/2/4
The reason is that my most difficult enemies are warriors and D/D eles. With 2 in Radiance I get Searing Flames, which prioritizes might and makes the fight A LOT easier than fighting a warrior with 20 stacks Might.
With 2 points in Honor I get almost perm vigor (OP) and then take Resolute Healer, because it is incredibly underrated in teamfights. If you’re fast, then it increases your chances to revive a mate by a large margin.
I run S/F & GS and Sigil of Doom on sword to better counter Warriors.
This variation is extremely powerful, since the extra 10% dmg from Zeal is not necessary to spike squishy targets anyway.
I can win against pretty much every profession, although Warriors have beem ALMOST impossible. With the new patch, I hope they’re going to be slightly easier.
