Mobility problems in wvw (meditation).
The obvious solution is staff, which you’re already doing. You can also swap in GS and Sword for the leaps and teleports while moving across the map.
You’ll never be great at escape beyond getting lucky with some teleports.
For supply running, between leaps and teleports you should be ok but you can always keep a staff in your pack when you have distance to cover, or temporarily switch a utility for retreat.
As for killing fleeing targets, you could try swapping one of your meditations for Bane Signet if you can handle the reduced healing and condition cleansing ( I consider Signet of Resolve to compensate ). It’ll knock down a foe at 1200 paces and do a signficant amount of damage to boot with a DPS build ( you can also use it as control for your burst )

The way I see it, you have Leap of Faith and you also have the ability to slot and utilize Retreat when not in combat. likewise, you could slot a staff for added mobility when not in combat.
Guardians have no mobility, you are essentially forced to take some type of mobility, such as retreat to be viable in PvP.
Perhaps I’ve been too spoiled by my mobile anti-condition GS/Axe+Shield warrior. All my other chars move so slowly by comparison.
Just echoing what others have said, I usually use retreat and a staff in WvWvW.
Bane Signet was a good suggestion as well.
I run meditations myself so I feel your pain.
run with two friends and have a chat what utilities to bring.
As a meditation guardian they are stupid if they force staff or retreat on you.
Problem solved.
Guardian has no issues with mobility what ever build we use as long we run with 2 teammates, guardian is a group centric profession, not running with a group is playing he profession in an unintended fashion.
And we can build for mobility as well and we dont give up much more than a warrior imo. They are just as tied to specific weapons and utilities and ofc traits.
What we do lack is the ability to finish fights when people run away and a cripple would be welcome.

Your problem actually is that you have no swiftness, meaning you’re spending all your possible escape skills on trying to catch up to foes (Leap of Faith, Flashing Blades, Judge’s Intervention).
A solution could be to add Sigil of Speed on both your weapons, instead of Sigil of Hydromancy. It has no recharge time, so you will keep getting 10 seconds of swiftness, whenever you get a confirmed kill. With enough AoE damage, it is quite easy to stack up to 1 minute of swiftness in a big fight.

P.E.T.A does not approve the use of random NPC animals such as owls, raccoons, rabbits, or any other fury or feathered creature for teleportation. Furthermore, if you are in such a bind whereas you need said creature to escape, well, P.E.T.A requests you to just….
SUCK IT UP and DIE!
