So i’m pretty tired and don’t want to sleep yet, so i’m posting the build that i like to use for WvW and dungeons.
like i said: i’m tired, so i won’t go in alot of detail where i count every hp that i get from a certain skill or how much dmg you take or anything like that.
this is just my build and i like it.
gear:
focus your gear on vit/toughness
weapons: mace/focus & scepter/shield
main weapons: superior sigil of energy
off hand weapons: superior sigil of leeching
runes: 6 superior runes of the dolyak. (i’m thinking of changing the runes a little so ideas are welcome)
Traits:
valor: 20, V/IX
honour: 30, IV/II/I
virtues: 20, VI/XI

Renewed Focus.
A little info:
This build is not made for doing damage, you are a hyperactive tank that takes the beating for your party so they can finish it… the thing about this build is that you will most likely survive that beating
as you can see, i use the sigil of energy and the sigil of leeching both twice.
for when you are out of defensive skills for a moment you can start dodging.
you dodge twice and switch weapons, on weapon swap you steal health and get 50% endurance back for a third dodge. (since both sets of weapons hold the same sigils it will always work like this on swap)
weapon skills:
first set: mace/focus
1: a little dmg and every third strike a small heal for you and your allies
2: a small symbol that will dmg you foe and regenerates a little health for allies.
3: grants a block/counter shield to you and allies that will do dmg when hit, and give protection to you and allies when not struck at all.
offhand:
4: a slow projectile that i only use to make my enemy blind
5: a shield that blocks 3 times
Second set: sceptre/shield
1: slow projectiles to simply do dmg
2: a small field on the ground that does pretty good dmg in a very short duration, most of the times used when i immobilized the enemy so he’ll get all dmg from this skill.
3: immobilizes for when i need to get away for a moment, also makes enemy vulnerable, 3% more dmg.
offhand:
4: a wave infront of you that give you and your allies protection, and a little dmg to foe.
5: a shield that knocksback enemy’s and wont allow projectiles to pass.
skills:
6: Shelter: doesnt heal alot, but blocks all attacks while healing.
7: Stand your ground: gives you and allies stability, and for you also retalation and a stun breaker.
8: Hold the line: grants you and allies, protection and regeneration.
9: Sanctuary: small shield that i use when i’m in trouble or when i need to res someone while surrounded by enemy’s, noone can enter or shoot trough it.
only problem with sanctuary is that its not safe when someone puts field spells on the ground where my sanctuary is.
10: Renewed focus: only guardian elite that i like, makes you invulnerable for 3sec’s and resets the cd on your virtues.
virtues now give on use:
justice: might + retalation
resolve: regeneration + retalation
courage: protection + retalation
hope it will work for you guys
So alot of blocking, dodging and protection that will keep you alive to be able to protect your party from harm
ps: you have no speed boosts like this, so take a staff with ya.
