Hi everyone, i need some help vs some profesions i cant handle in small roaming groups or (when happen) 1v1.

I am pretty tanky. 19k health, 3200 armor, 3000 attack, 30% critical, 40% critical damage and 900 healing power.

Condi necros: they just kite me a lot with chill and cripples. I cant output enough damage because they are pretty tanky and i cant reach them (even with GS/sword). I cant manage the condition re-apply. I have a LOT of condition removal but is not enough, late or early i am dead, is matter of time.

Condi engi; same as necro but worse, they have a lot of CC and mobility. I cant handle the condition apply and reapply over time and they have a lot of healing.

Mesmers. I cant catch them, i can bunker some mesmers and nobody dies, i cant kill him but him cant kill me. They kite me a LOT, but A LOT. I am pretty good targeting the real mesmer, the problem is the kite they do to me. They jump back very often of go stealth. Some mesmer hit REALLY hard, and maybe one lucky with critical hits burst can shut down me.

I am very flexible with weapons choice, i run the common AH build for group roaming, with some variations depend which weapons i use. I am very flexible with food, even changing it in the middle of the combat if needed.

Sorry for my bad english.

So far i don’t think nor saw before any Tanky Guard with 19k HP have any capability to kill any profession.

I only can say the best 1v1,1v4 WvW Roaming Build is the one called Healway Guardian, due to it’s high time boon duration on Retaliation and Save Yourself is not nerfed in WvW. Google it , i dont have the link >.>

I recently posted a thread in which I asked for help on how to beat mesmers and thieves. While my issues in my original post were slightly different from yours, some of the suggestions may be helpful to you. You can find that thread here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/guardian/How-do-you-deal-with-Mesmers-and-Thieves/first#post2633196

One advise in that thread that has been of big help to me was Christos de Soufre’s suggestion to apply “constant pressure”. This has changed my game in two ways: I always felt that I was the underdog in my encounters with pretty much any job, and that my strategy had to be defensive first, offensive second. I’ve tried to change my approach, and I intentionally go after them very aggressively in an encounter even if I think I will probably eat gravel. I have also changed my gear choices to allow for a more damage-oriented build. It occurred to me that 1) if I don’t go after them aggressively, and for example try to run away, they will kill me. There is never a tower near enough for me to reach it with my kittenty mobility. And 2) turtling up doesn’t do me much good either, because I won’t be able to kill them, and the best possible outcome I can hope for is that I don’t die, and that either a friendly comes across us and helps me finish him, or the enemy disengages. If that is the best I can hope for, then what’s the point? It is less frustrating for me to go all out and die 50 times and walk back across the map than to blow my most offensive moves on some warrior killing a dolyak while completely ignoring me, and not getting his health even halfway down. True story.

I’ll say this, though: currently the condition spam is very difficult to deal with, and I don’t personally believe it is balanced well. I don’t think you or I are the only Guardians having trouble with these particular classes right now more than ever because of it.

TLDR; gear more offensively. Maybe you won’t survive as much, and the condi spam is hard to deal with anyway, but you’ll have a better shot at downing your opponents.

If you want to group roam and such then run the Heal away as that’s the most beneficial for everyone and you’ll win my fights with your team thanks to those lovely boons. If you wanna 1vs1 someone and win instead of a stalemate or getting killed after a long period of time the only real option is to run as a Zerker Guardian and be prepared for the stuff that follows.

Death will happen plenty of times since 14K max hp with barely no toughness is just asking to be killed. You need to master damage avoidance and negation because you can’t sit there and soak up damage at all and if you get caught by more than 1 person things are going to go down hill fast for you because it’s twice the attacks coming your way and you can’t avoid it all so you’ll drop like a sack of kitten if you’re not careful.

However you can hit for 12K in one attack and have the ability to maximum burst for about 18K. I’ve out burst a burst thief and he was sitting right behind me using back stab to heart seekers and he dropped before I did so that is a good example of what kind of damage we can dish out.

Thank you guys, really help, i am trying again healway (i start with it few month ago and i have all the items but i only use that in zergs) and really help with 1v1 (AH has not good sustainability when you are alone)

Help a lot keeping my buff up and doing pressure being offensive, i run dual hydromancy sigil in GS/sword, i can be really annoying jumping and swapping weapons for 3sec aoe chills, and healway give me the extra sustainability when i run alone.

I will use healway for support zerg, alone roaming and some small roaming group. And AH for front line zerg and roaming groups, i feel a lot more tanky with it

Pecar.1236 i attach my stats

With basic wvw buff i reach 19k+ health and with SiN trait when i am in combat i have 3200 armor. I still need some infusions for 30% critical chance. I love a lot this build, i have a very balanced damage, tanky and sustainability with this stats.
