Need opinions about my heavy support build

Hmm I think it could use some improvements…
First, I’d like to say that it’s not worth running a full Support build in WvW, because well, damage is what KILLS people and reduces the enemies’ firepower. So I’d trait a thing or two for extra damage.
But first things first!
- Battle Presence doesn’t stack with Absolute Resolution! You can test this by going to the Mists and staying close to someone who’s taking damage (at the 1v1 Area), and notice they’ll be getting the weakened version of your Virtue of Resolve.
Also, I find that Major Trait lacking and the tooltip misleading, because it makes your Virtue of Resolve go up to 200ish+ healing, but if you test it, you’ll be getting like a 25~40% increase only, and not the 100%+ as stated in the tooltip.
- Why did you pick Improved Spirit Weapon duration if you don’t have the reduced CD or Eternal Spirits?
Spirit Weapons are great for WvW in my opinion, because they can’t be targeted, will harass someone, or have some absurdly great effects (Shield). The Sword is good to dealing some AoE in large packs, just have a ranged weapon to “tag” someone and it’ll start attacking.
But if you choose to use these skills, I recommend getting at least 20 in Zeal – the Commands are great, and the reduced CD is a must!
- Strength in Numbers isn’t worth it, 30 Toughness is insignificant. You’re better picking something else, trust me.
- All Symbols Heal allies is awesome, but without the Symbols are Larger, it’ll be quite annoying to hit your allies. Combine the two if you can.
- Instead of Shouts, if you plan mainly on WvW, consider using Consecrations. Shouts are awesome but mostly for PvP, for large groups Consecrations are better. If you go at least 20 Virtues, pick Master of Consecrations and Consecrated Ground, you can drop a massive burning area for a decent damage in the middle of the enemies!
Sanctuary is a bit situational, but decent for reviving allies, though I prefer to just have Resolute Healer (generates a Shield of Absorption when you revive allies), and Wall of Reflection + Staff’s Line of Warding is a great block for choke points.
A decent ranged build for WvW is: 10 Radiance (Searing Flames), 30 Honor (Resolute Healer, Two Handed Mastery, Battle Presence), 20 Virtues (Master of Consecrations, Consecrated Ground) with 10 left over points, for a Scepter/Shield and Staff weapons.
Using a gear heavy on Condition Damage.
Every 32 seconds you get a free burning in the enemy lines, plus Smite / Symbol of Swiftness hits quick and procs Virtue of Justice often.
Wall of Reflection, Sanctuary, Line of Warding, Shield of Absorption for reviving allies, Empower for AoE heals (along with your Battle Presence passive).
For runes you can go 2 Water/2 Monk/2 Something else for extra Might duration on Empower, or another buff to Condition Damage.
It’s a… “safe” build to use and works better in those large groups fighting, but it sucks for 1v1 (obviously!).
For the 10 remaining Trait Points, 10 Virtues for Supreme Justice is great, 10 Zeal for Fiery Wrath is good.
This build was originally for dungeons – for a full support role .
I took improved spirit weapon duration because i use the bow – to both remove conditions and heal .
Still there are some traits under question but for support i don`t see anything better to replace them since most of the other traits do not offer more . Problem is that Arenanet did not put the best traits for support on the support trees !
