Ninja Nerfed
1. Torch (4)(4) damage has been nerfed. Thus nerfing our burst damage. Before patch crits up to 6k. Now, 2.5 k max; however the burning duration increased, that doesnt much shown the actual tick damage of 4k in 3 secs.
Ninja Buff
1. Purging Flame cool down reduced up to 28 secs after traited; previous was 35 after traited.

I knew it! I tried to use torch in my burning build but the dmg was sort of lower than remembered …. :p so useless now.
If true, that’s unfortunate. Physical damage is this professions speciality with burning as a tiny increase.
Is this for spvp? I’m still get 9k hits against orrian trash and wvw players
I haven’t tried this out either, but perhaps it’s linked to taking the torch trait? Guess some testing may be needed.
ok in the mists can get >6k strikes against a heavy golem, with or without Radiant Fire traited

What build and gear are you using for WvW?
For that test or generally?
For the test I think I would have used 0,30,30,0,10 ( or perhaps 10,20,30,0,10 or even 10,25,25,0,10 )
Generally I rarely stick to the same build in WvW and change traits/armor several times a day to suit the composition of the opposing forces.
My favourite morning roaming DPS build is currently 0,30,30,5,5 ( full zerker, ascended ) – Bane Signet + 2 meditations, but I’ll change up to something more robust by midday when encountering zergs or full groups is more likely. By the end of the day I’m in full bunker & support.
Basically I have about 5 armour sets and 3 of every weapon in my inventory, with different runes and sigils so I can switch as required.

yLoon, I just checked in game and the damage is the same as it has always been. It has a coefficient of 2.25 before and after the patch. The burning ticks twice, the first is when the skill is first activated and the last is right as it ends. The first tick is for 9 seconds, the second is for 3 seconds. This is the same behavior it has always had. You can throw the fire before the skill ends to toss the last tick at your target.
