It seems to me that out of all of the shouts, “Hold The Line!” seems to be voiced very rarely, it exists, however I’ve only really heard it a few times since release. Please can you fix it ANet? This has been giving me sleepless nights for a while, and anxiety attacks every time I push the button and hear nothing, in stark contrast to “Save Yourselves!”, “Retreat!” and “Stand Your Ground!”.

Please ANet, I implore you, for the sake of my mental sanity, this needs to get changed asap.

I was just noticing this last night. A couple of times I could have sworn that I heard “For Great Justice!” when I used “Hold the Line,” but maybe I was just perfectly synced with the warrior in my party? Still, I never heard the voice for “Hold the Line.”

this bug has existed since launch, on the rare occasion that the sound actually plays it’s something entirely different from “hold the line!”

doubt this will ever be fixed.

I swear I heard hold the line the other night, i’ve been playin Guardian since beta alot and it felt like the first time i’d heard it maybe, I was wondering if its just a bug that puts it with the other really rare things your char can say.. maybe I was having some kind of audio hallucination but I swear my Asuran said it.

You were roleplaying so hard that you didn’t realize you said it yourself. XP

Due to a recording error, one of the racial voices ( female sylvari I think ) never had a correct recording of “Hold the Line” so anet decided to remove it entirely.
Instead it has a low probability of saying something random ( or based on the environment you are in ). It is possible that “Hold the Line” can be one of those quotes if you play a human character.

I have heard some great quotes from it that I’ve not heard anywhere else on my male asura guardian, like: “I only know of one other person as clever as me, and I only ever see him when I look in the mirror”

The frequency of quotes might also be dependant on your race.

edit: here is a dev comment on the matter I remember reading a while ago:

… Add to that that while other’s indeed do hear Warrior Shouts, for some reason they don’t hear Guardian’s.
