Guild Wars 2

So, I’m thinking of running altruistic healing with GS, Hammer and staff and largely shouts such as save yourselves most of the time but I can’t decide on 6 traits and I can only 2 of them at most and in the case of 3 of them, I have to choose one or the other.

Inspired Virtue, Signet Mastery, Writ of Exaltation, Writ of Persistence, Pure of Voice, and Empowering Might.

My problem is they all seem to really go well with my build.

I posted a build of mine earlier, you’re welcome to check it out if you like. Hammer-Staff is a lovely combo and i ran it in dungeons for quite a while. In my opinion, the general order of priority for those traits should be as follows:
Inspired virtue. Always take this. Always.
Empowering might. Very useful, almost irreplacable.
Signet mastery or writ of persistence. Shorter cooldown on your massive heal, or longer duration on your circle of protection? totally your choice, i chose signet.
Writ of exaltion and pure of voice. In my opinion, wasted traits, but remember this is only MY opinion. I’m sure they are someone’s cup of tea, but not mine. Condition removal is too easy to begin with, and your team if they’re any good can remove their own not rely on you for it. And writ of exaltion, well id choose persistence over it everytime.

Personally, id seriously just trying my suggestion. If you don’t like it, you’re always free to switch back. Drop two handed mastery, replace with writ of persistence or empowering might. Don’t waste traits on pure of voice, if you really want that, take soldiers runes.
TAKE inspired virtue. it’s a must for altruistic healers, if you don’t believe me, believe brutally who has an excellent guide to altruistic healing stickied on the guard forums.

Honor: I usually grab larger symbols, 2h mastery and empowering as I use a gs/hammer in wvw. But swap out 2h mastery for superior aria for dungeons.

Valor: purity, retributive armor, ah

This build is very flexible. Sometimes I go monks focus instead and swap to 0/15/30/20/5 for more gs pew pew in pvp.

Do what I did. 0/10/30/30/0. You have to decide between Pure of Voice and Empowering Might however.

Or…

You can use soldier runes. Yes, the conditions are just removed and not converted, but it still affects allies and most conversions either suck or are bugged. Then pop on empowering might, and with a greatsword you can almost always maintain 4-5 stacks of might. I say the 10 in radiance for the signet cd reduction. 8 seconds is the difference between life and death with Resolve.
