I would like to have a guard / warr passive block in the event that you choose to play with a shield and tank boss

pffff this is 2013, there is no passive blocks.
only 30s cooldown block, and guard cant block, its just a name to confuse enemy.

You can’t tank a boss.

Guardians can block, they can block with any weapon actually. They have this lovely boon called Aegis, though it can only block one hit at a time.
