Perma-Death Guardian
So yeah, started a perma-death guardian using woodenpotatoes’s hardcore rules, at level 9 right now, planning on running mace/focus for defensive needs and sword/torch for offense. Considering replacing focus w/ shield but that seems unlikely.
Anybody else tried this? If so what was your experience like?
Why would you want to artificially make the game harder for you when you’re already playing a profession with the lowest heavy armor health pool?
That would be like if a paraplegic went out and broke one of their arms on purpose… There’s no reason to do it.
Just chose a non-meta build and you’ll be increasing the difficulty ten-fold
Ive done it on necro before was interesting. Though to spice it up I also disabled my dodge button so I pretty much could only use blinds/weakness/deathshroud to mitigate damage. Ended up getting a whole new respect for debilitating condtions. And found myself building for that kind of debuff build instead of raw damage (either power OR condi).
Restricting yourself is a great way to forcefully learn new skills. Odds are you are going to find yourself learning things you normally would have laughed at or considered unimportant before.
Good luck to you on your run stick with it. Cause if you don’t make it to 80 with it. you know what happens :P.
Yeah, so in my drunken sleep addled stupor last night I made one post in the guardian forums and one in the general discussions forum, so if a mod could merge this one into that one that’d be great.
Anyways, I love the guy who is complaining about guardian not having enough health, and guardian has so much survivability that a little bit less health doesn’t really matter.
I suggest that anyone who reads this before it gets merged go and read my post in general, and the responses, as those have many of the rules that I’m using

Hum Idk maybe to have some fun lvling? Since this is so easy it gets boring… Idk just an idea since games are supposed to be fun …
Anyway, GS is the best weapon Guardian has for lvling IMO, some mobility and it’s the top DPS in Guardian, so you should go with that. Hammer it’s good.
