I like the Hunter’s Determination change, because now the CD between it and Retaliatory Subconscious won’t be so close. It’s a passive stunbreak, so not much we can really say about how skillful having it on a low CD is…

I think Shield of Courage should’ve stayed at 5 seconds. I was really hoping Revenant’s sword 2 or UA would get changed so we didn’t have to rely on it for stopping those two attacks used simultaneously.

Merciful Intervention is useless as hell. I really wish it did something else.

Signet of course should pulse a heal out every 3 seconds… Good Jesus, 10 is too long. Please… PLEASE make the cast time 1.5 seconds… It’s an elite skill! Reduce the radius or make it so that allies that dodge don’t get healed… Please! Lol

The daze change… is okay. It will deal with the “Guardian stacking” problem.

I’m happy to see torch changes. I doubt it will push out focus or shield though… Cleansing Flame should be an AoE flame that pulses around the Guardian, removing conditions from the user and those around them OR giving them… QUICKNESS or resistance…

I’m happy ToF, scepter and sword weren’t nerfed.

The shield of courage nerf is a let down bit still viable. Merciful intervention should be a blink eitherway if an ally is in the area or not, if there is one it should have reduced cd.
Other thibgs are reasonable and/or good changes.

the “buffs” to the kittenty skills still gives me literally zero reason to use them over any of the current meta builds.

For anyone wondering about the Purification heal nerf:

It’s the equivalent of about a 30% nerf to the initial healing part ONLY. You would need about 1k healing power to boost it back up to where it was before. Overall, you still get a near instantaneous 10k heal so it’s not too bad of a nerf for power builds.

For anyone wondering about the Purification heal nerf:

It’s the equivalent of about a 30% nerf to the initial healing part ONLY. You would need about 1k healing power to boost it back up to where it was before. Overall, you still get a near instantaneous 10k heal so it’s not too bad of a nerf for power builds.

That’s what I was wondering about. My main concern is the cast time that’s 0.75 up from 0.5. This is a big change in clutch situations where we need a fast heal. What makes things worse is, the heal proc isn’t immediate – we don’t receive the heals right away when triggered.

In any ol’ soloQ game, players probably wouldn’t notice but in Tournament play, this makes the increased cast time on Purification a huge nerf.

The nerfs are fair. The so called buffs are typical random bs buffs to skills that aren’t used and will continue to be unused.

Absolutely… and against a skilled thief mesmer or other DH, you’re going to notice that increased cast time. This is a pretty serious nerf but I think it reinforces the “trap” nature of Purification – you have to be more deliberate in using it rather than just reflexively mashing 6 (orwhatever your keybind) when you’re at 1k hp.

On a side note: this nerf does increase the relative value of focus as an offhand, since it will become much more important to protect yourself while laying the trap.
