…for the first time in a few months. Think I’ll go back to the necro.

.
Before anyone says he was out of range… the enemy behind him that I have targeted is in range of JI. Thxu.

Guardian OP!!!!!!
At the same time you were healing, the target was been attacked. Try the ulti.
Confusing response is confusing.
The description of Merciful Intervention is very ambiguous if you ask me.
“Teleport to the nearest ally with the lowest health and create a healing area around them.”
Does this mean nearest ally, or ally with lowest health? It’s very confusing. If I understand your video it’s nearest ally. This requires the guardian to run to your ally first which makes the teleport quite useless.
Also how many are affected by the healing area and what’s the range on it?
Don’t be such a h8r – we’re the ~most balanced~ class there is!!!
/end sarcasm

I would hope it would work like this:
Look for the ally with the lowest health in range. If there are multiple allies with the same health, it should go to the nearest one.
But then what does lowest health mean? Should it heal a warrior that has 20k/30k hp or an elementalist has 14.5k/15k hp?

It teleports you to closest ally regardless of health. Which is why I hate this skill. It really should be a target skill. However Anet doesn’t want a “dedicated” healer class. Also only one person is affected by it, and it has a 1200 range.
If they would fix it. I’d drop JI for running med builds. Since you get the base heal, plus Monk Focus heal.

Then the description should be changed imho by removing “lowest health” and “healing area” because they don’t fit with the actual presentation of the skill.
I also rather would like to see it changed to a target skill. We can only dream I’m afraid.
Oozo, you were just using the skill wrong. you have to run up to the person you want to heal, stand on top of them, and then pop the skill.
if there are 3, 4 of you all stacked together, then it’s up to luck.
the 1200 range is just to help you guage how far you are from your target heal and if you can get there in time.
it’s a great skill, imho. almost never leaves me bar. even when i’m not running MF.
[added: ps. jokes aside.. as much as i love your necro vids. i do miss you playing Templanos : (( your This Guardian’s Got a Temper vid earned you a sub, AND the rest of ’em really helped me really get into WvW as a Guard]

Actually merciful got one thing that you got wrong, if you stand on top of several people it will heal them all, low radius. But it will heal more than one person if they are stacked.
ah. the more you know.
legit question – they all get the same amount of healing?

Yep. You, of course, get more if you use monks focus.

He might’ve used the skill wrong, but that’s because the description is also partially wrong and should be changed.
Great to hear that the healing area actually works though. Might be more useful in dungeons than I thought, where stacking happens occassionally.
Anyone also annoyed by the camera when teleporting with MI and JI? Sometimes when you’re close to walls your camera resets into the wall. Then you have to waste time to zoom out and find the correct angle again. I’d rather have the camera keep the angle the same.
