“Buff my main class, nerf everything else. "

Please give constructive criticism of these builds. Thanks
Hi all, so i’ve been reading about Healway and Boonway and wanted the forum’s opinions of the two builds i put together below as alternative to Medi Guard that can be used in a raid/zerg as well as small group roaming. Last night i used the first build in a real WvW map for some 2 person roaming and a raid team. I also tested it in Eotm (we had some zerg v zerg battles) right in the front. Its pretty tanky with “Save Yourselves”. The dodge rolls heal for 800 and the VoR ticks for 156 HP/s. I used -condi food and purity for the 1 condi clear per 10 sec.
The second one drops purity (keeps retributive armor) and takes 2 points in zeal to boost damage on burning enemies. It will of course boost my dps but my condi clear will be less. Do you think its worth doing this. Is Purity really that worthwhile?
Should i drop Hold The Line for Smite Condition or Contemplation of Purity for more condi clear?
One thing i wont change is the runes. I cant live without my Travelers runes. Sooooo good in WvW.
Last note: im still new to WvW combat (pvp) So i need a bit more forgiving build to help cover up mistakes in rotations while i learn.
Thanks in advance

Smite condition is a bad skill to take outside of a true meditation build. The reason it works at all is because you could spam it for low cooldown heals and condition remove with some damage with monk’s focus.
CoP isn’t a bad idea though its effectiveness rapidly declines the bigger your team is since it’s a selfish skill. At the same time HTL is sorta so-so anyways. In 1-2 person roaming, it isn’t a bad idea to take COP though please be careful against necros.
In your case, I don’t really recommend Force of Will if your current condi clear only consists of Absolute Resolution. Yes, your extra HP will drain off conditions, but the trouble comes when you are hit by immobilize and stuff. If you do want to keep that, then you may consider CoP in place of HTL. Otherwise, you’ll have to just save your condi clears for when you really need it.

Thanks ArchonWing. I actually ran the first build over the weekend and its a lot of fun.
Opening up with Save Yourselves gives really good protection as well as a dps boost with Fury and some might. Using it again mid fight and having CoP ready in case is great. In one zerg fight i used Save Yourselves. pulled around 7 condis onto me, popped CoP and bam! got 7 boons on top of the 7 boons that SY gives me. The 800 Hp per dodge roll is a life saver too, alongside the 150hp per tick from Absolute Resolution.
For Zergs i dropped Hold The Line for Stand Your Ground since Stability is more useful.
